Advantages: Good deals on 'bulk bucket meals'
Disadvantages: Watch the eating in areas!
Surely everyone is aware of ‘Kentucky Fried Chicken’ as they were once known. I guess in Kentucky this is really how chicken is cooked? Well it sure is a unique classic taste. It’s all down to whether you like chicken in the first place and then of course if the herbs and spices coating is to your taste! KFC are so popular this must be the case for many. The number of KFC branches appears to be very slowly increasing and recently some new ones opened in the Essex area where I live. In the Braintree branch, which has been open for ages now, I had to take advantage of the 'customer comments card' since I had major reservations about cleanliness. The tabletops were rarely wiped. Rubbish from past customers rarely cleared. It was obvious there was a staffing problem, or was there? I paid three visits to this branch over a six-month period and on each occasion made written complaint by comments cards. It wasn’t until yet another visit that it was obvious action had been taken. A more recent visit to a new Broomfield branch showed similar problems, and the toilets in all KFC’s rarely have soap. Check them for yourself! I’d hate to see KFC go to pot. They are the best of the fried chicken fast joints and fair value, especially for the ‘bargain bucket’ gangs. Next time you are there try the corn on the cob. It’s not one of their better sellers. I remember when the corn on the cob was twice the size for the same price- they have literally cut the cobs in half!
