Low Price but Poor Quality evening meal (Kings Arms)

Advantages: Midday = cheap carvery, freshly cooked food, value for money.

Disadvantages: Early evening = dried up food, very small portion of meat, dirty toilet

The food which is good at lunchtime was substandard at 7.0.p.m., the roast potatoes were burnt and we were given 2 wafer thin slices of turkey, there was no other choice as a small piece of beef was really dried up and there were just a few crumbs of dried up gammon left, the joint of turkey was nearly finished and presumably they didn't want to start another. The runner beans were tough and stringy and cauliflower had more stalks than florets. The disabled / mother and baby toilets were not clean and had no lock on the door. The starter, mushrooms in 3 cheese sauce: the sauce was tasty but the mushrooms had the texture and the flavour of being raw. The desserts were very good, but the cappucino coffee didn't have any chocolate on top and tasted like latte and the coffee 'cups' were transport cafe- style mugs.

Summary: You get what you pay for, better to pay more and enjoy the food
