Avoid! (La Braseria)

Terrible!!
It was cold, rainy and La Braseria was the first restaurant we stumbled across during our visit to Swansea.
Looking through the window, you could be forgiven to think that this was a first class restaurant, authentic, warm and inviting. But this is as far as it goes.
Having hovered a short while, dripping wet near the bar area, we were surprised to see that most tables were reserved. 'this is a good sign' my boyfriend and I thought. Checking with the waitress, although it turned out that there was a spare table for 2 just for us. Excellent!
We ordered a bottle of wine, white. and were told to make our choices at the counter. To be fair all looked good, meat looked fresh and fish looked impressive, we were in for a treat, despite being a little pricey, we thought we would give it a go!! Hoping for something special.
Our plates arrived, and to say we were disapponted, was an understatement. I ordered chicken suprerme, supreme it was not....served with a low quality well known, jarred, heated, burger relish, the chicken was tough and stuffed with processed, ardennes pate, served on a heated skillet (for those who know, not recommended for an already cooked chicken breast if you do not wish for it to taste like rubber). The jacket potato was credible, but not what i intended to spend £11 on!!! Veg and salad were additional.
I will say that the service was good. Although i did sympathise with the waiting on staff who had to deliver this muck!!
The only excuse i can think of, having seen the other reviews, is that the chef was off and the pot washer was forced to cover.
Needless to say, we will not be visiting this place again.

Summary: not recommended for those who enjoy good food
