Another family celebration called for yet another wonderful visit to La Casa Vecchia! We often dine out and I think it is safe to say that La Casa Vecchia remains our firm favourite for Italian cuisine. Courteous as ever, the staff make you feel very welcome upon arriving at the restaurant, which certainly sets the night off to a fine standard. The restaurant is decorated in a lovely traditional, rustic Italian style creating a delightful ambiance. The beautiful mural covering one wall certainly creates a feeling of authenticity, almost as if you are dining in Italy itself!

La Casa Vecchia are offering a superb "Early Bird" menu at the moment, which two of the four of us opted for. It really is fantastic value, two courses and a glass of wine for only £11.95! I have to admit I was apprehensive about ordering from this menu as I immediately thought they would offer smaller portion sizes, however, I was very much mistaken! The food was cooked to the highest standard and there was certainly plenty of it. The two others in our party decided to try something from the specials board. My husband started with the Fresh Mussels followed by the Marlin Steak, I can honestly say I have never seen him enjoy a meal so much! The award-winning Chef certainly does La Casa Vecchia proud, producing spectacular dishes to the highest of standards.

I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and think if you haven't tried it before you should definitely give it a go. We have been dining there for years and plan to do so for many years to come. Excellent.
