La Tasca is a Spanish Tapas bar I would highly recommend My first impression when I walked in to my nearest La tasca was wow ! The whole vibe of the restruant is very relaxed and romantic with dim lighting and wine bottles with candles in them on the table and Spanish music playing in the background I have never been in a restaurant like this before . The Food in La Tasca is just as impressive as the atmosphere there is a huge range of Tapas dishes ranging from paella to meats to fish . The way it works to order Your food is you pick three or four different dishes Your partner or friends will do the same and then everyone just trys ...  Read the complete review

I always enjoy eating at LaTasca. They have a great deal on tapas for a tenner. This is a great place to go at lunch or after work. The Portsmouth location is conveniently located at Gunwharf Quays and is a delight after a few hours of shopping. There is a lot to choose from on the menu and all the selections are quite mouth watering. My friends and I usually order the sharers selection of white bait fish, chicken wings, spicy Spanish meatballs, Valencia Paella and Calamari. This is a great place to go if your in the mood for really good Spanish food. It's also great for a party. The service is fast and friendly and lucky enough you don't have to wait a ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review La Tasca (Portsmouth): Try something delicious and a bit different (665 words)

Having visited Spain a few times, I had some idea of what Tapas was, so when I discovered La Tasca in Portsmouth's Gunwharf shopping complex, I thought I'd give it a try for something a bit different. The restuarant is situated on ground level, a few metres away from the Spinnaker tower entrance. They also have an outside seating section (with umbrellas) that they open most days. The premise: You order 3-4 dishes per person (as the dishes are about the size of what you'd consider to be a starter in a 'normal' restuarant). There are a huge selection of dishes on the menu, ranging from garlic chicken croquettes (delicious), tangy pork ...  Read the complete review

My partner and I decided to go on a day out to Gunwharf Quays today for a spot of shopping and fancied a bite to eat for lunch. Seeing La Tasca we decided to try it out, having never eaten tapas before, and were intrigued as to what dishes they offered and pricing etc. I must say the food was excellant! We had a mixture of tapas including croquettes, prawns and the meatballs (meatballs are a MUST if you go!). The price was fab too-under £30 including all food (of which there was alot!) and drinks-with sangria of course! The only down side was we should have gone tomorrow as would have received 50% discount with the voucher on their website. Nevertheless I was extremely ...  Read the complete review

I had wanted to go to La Tasca for an absolute age, but time and opportunity never seemed to match up. Last month, were looking for a venue to celebrate my partner's birthday and we ended up having a browse on www.moneysavingexpert.com to see if there were any good restaurant discount vouchers doing the rounds. We were tempted by a two-main-courses-for-the-price-of-one at Prezzo, but we quickly lured away by the even better offer of 50% discount off all food at La Tasca. A quick look on La Tasca's website (www.latasca.co.uk), and we located our nearest outlet as being at Gun Wharf Quays in Portsmouth - about a 30 minute drive from us. The discount voucher duly printed ...  Read the complete review
