If you go to a new town and fancy a coffee, you probably go to Costa, Nero or one of the other chains. The coffee and food may not be the best quality in the world, but at least you know you can expect a certain standard. If you find yourself in Durham, though, I'd recommend you try Leonard's Coffee Shop... providing you can find it. Location is both a charm and a curse for Leonard's. Although it's actually just off the main shopping area of Durham, it's a little hidden away down a set of unprepossessing steps and at the bottom of a narrow, anonymous alley.
