coffee police (Little Chef)
Member Name: minniehaha
Advantages: none noticable Disadvantages: plenty my husband and myself stopped on the way to norfolk at a little chef what an experience i was on crutches and had been out of hospital about 5 days i was actually wheelchair material but my husband parked at the door and i hopped in i slipped in the entrance of the door due to the floor being wet and recieved no assistance at all however, the best was yet to come we were served (eventually, having nearly lost the will to live) by a spotty, surly teenager. as i had no appetite we just decided on coffee, we ordered two but then as the delightful? young chap walked away i changed my mind and decided i could not even face that so changed the order to one whereupon we were informed by said spotty, surly teenager that we were not allowed to share the one cup of coffee. we had no intention of it anyway but despite my agony i could not stop laughing i felt obliged to ask him what the outcome of me daring to take a sip of my husbands coffee would be but he didnt know. i enquired if they had coffee police or if it would be snatched from my hand and my husband and i escorted from the premises by some burly coffee bodyguards. it still makes me laugh two years later i have no difficulty understanding why they have been closed down you would be hard pushed to come across a more unhelpful, woeful bunch of people than the majority of staff that run them and i say that as the mother of one of their ex chefs who could not leave them quick enough he was underpaid and overworked Summary: thank god they are gone |
