Advantages: Great Food.

Disadvantages: None

We stumbled across Maxi’s delicatessen and café just by chance. This café is in the Stockbridge area of Edinburgh and sells some wonderful food.

The staff are extremely friendly and the café is very clean and comfortable. The range of food includes sandwiches (a choice of baguette, ciabatta, focaccia, bocata or granary), panini, salads, cakes and many other snacks, with not a chip in sight anywhere!

We had the baguettes and there was a choice of about 20 different fillings. Each is served with an excellent salad and they were gorgeous. The prices vary depending upon which filling you choose but they were about £2.50 each.

For a very appetising snack this is definitely worth a visit if you are in this area of the City. The choices on the menu give the chance to get away from the usual unhealthy junk food we are now so often tempted to buy.

The delicatessen also provide a home delivery service, a catering service and a collection of gift boxes.

I am sure that if we lived in Edinburgh we would very quickly become regular customers to this café and delicatessen.
