Advantages: Cheap, fast, branches everywhere

Disadvantages: unhealthy (but so is all fast food...)

Fast food is full of fat and bad for us. We all know this. However, this hasn't stopped McDonalds in being a successful multi-national company serving fried food to millions, and in my opinion they aren't the worst fast food chain around.

I try to be health concious, and with the recently added nutritional value on all Mcdonalds food packaging, this information is available to anyone who wants to bother reading. However, if I'm extra stressed at uni or work, a fast food meal seems to help as a treat, and I don't think McDonalds should be overlooked as a convenient and quick way to get fed out and about.

In my opinion, the foods are reasonable priced, a range of options being available for all budgets from the £ savers menu to 'gourmet' burgers on ciabatta bread buns. You are never far away from a branch, and the opening hours are often extended beyond the hours of other food places. The food is fairly good quality,and I'd recommend as an occasional treat.

Summary: good now and then when you're caught hungry!
