My review of McDonald's
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Introduction
~~~~~~~~

As just about everyone on the planet knows, McDonalds is a fast food restaurant with branches all around the globe. Some people love it, especially kids -and some loathe it! Here's what I think...

My Opinion/ Features
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As a restaurant - I think McDonald's falls far short of the sort of service you'd get in a 'real' restaurant, so for me it's a no-brainer; McDonald's just doesn't make the grade...
I've always found the service to be 'sketchy'... as McDonald's always seem to employ a forever changing sea of young faces -every time I go into (or get dragged into -lol!) one of my local McDonald's most of the staff seem to have changed...
I do appreciate however that it's a good place for young folks to get temporary jobs while between college courses etc -so I suppose it's not all bad. But precisely because most of the staff are short term, there is always the feeling (from the service I get) that few of the staff really want to invest their time into the franchise; and who can blame them if they're not going to get any long term benefits from it...
But the result is often shoddy service - I lost count of the times I'd get asked to wait for an order that wasn't ready, only too be forgotten by the staff - and have to remind them. Also there's the mixed up order syndrome; I learned to always check the contents of the McBag before leaving the McDonalds cuz I got tired of all the McStakes (mistakes-lol!!).
There are also the issues of health -if you eat a lot of McDonalds you're not going to be in very good shape (as the film Supersize Me showed). However for the occasional cheap (unhealthy) snack, especially the 'cheap' menu -like the 99p Chicken Mayo burgers etc I quite enjoy the odd visit, and the surroundings are usually quite pleasant.
My Verdict
~~~~~~~

As a genuine restaurant I think McDonalds falls down extremely badly; the service is often no good and the food is unhealthy. But as an occasional place to visit for a quick snack, to keep the kids/girlfriend happy -it's pretty bearable and not to bad on your pocket if you're careful what you order...

Hope you found my review McHelpful!!

Best wishes,

I did like their milk shakes they were so thick the spoon sat on the surface without sinking. Haven't been inside a McDonalds for nearly 20 years.
