Advantages: Not too expensive
Disadvantages: Sometimes shabby fries.
Regardless of whether you eat fast food or not, your bound to be acquainted with McDonalds. Whether you used to visit it on a Saturday with your parents as a 'treat' to see Ronald McDonald or whether your just a burger fiend.
You tend to find that certain people have a certain favourite on the menu, the meal they remain loyal to no matter how frequent you visit. For me? It's the McChicken Sandwich. Though they never seem to look as glamorous as they do on the promotional poster (but nothing ever does!) they are most definitly delish.
McDonalds claim to use their own hand-crafted recipe when it comes to the sauce, something sweeter than traditional mayo mounted on top of a crispy chicken breast and lettuce. But you can't go to McDonalds if your watching your weight, this sandwich in particular has over 300 calories and thats without the fries and drink added on. but for £3.49 i'm not complaining! you can even go large for 30p more.
Just the other day in my penniless student status i found myself with two pound and both hungry and thirsty. I managed to scrape together £1.95 for a happy meal. I find it suprising that you can still purchase a meal for under £2 i was expecting about 2.50 so i was content. I shouldnt complain because it was all i could afford and it IS good value for money but the hamburgers leave alot to be desired especially with a small drizzle of tomato sauce and a gerkin (yuck) on top in a bun thats wafer thin.
Sometimes its touch and go with McDonalds, particularly the fries and you never know whether your going to get some nicely cooked ones or some that have been lying around and look a bit scabby...but tasty never the less.
Regardless of negatively, I give McDonalds a thumbs up if you want that extra treat during the week.
Summary: Fast food just around the corner
