McDonalds is something that most people around the world would have experienced at some point or another. It is a franchised Fast food restaurant that is found thoughout the world and produces a cheap and filling menu to enjoy.

It has a standard menu with the option of buying individual burgers or variations of, fries, sort drinks and a small choice of desserts. You also have the choice of buying an 'Extra value meal' which is a burger, fries and a soft drink in one usually for the price of £3.49 except for 'special burgers' or limited edition items.

The burgers provided are the BigMac, Quarter pounder, McChicken Sandwich, Chicken McNuggets, to name but a few. The BigMac being the classic and most popular of these items. They are quite high in calorific content for example, the BigMac being 490 kcal by its self and the fat content is 24 grams.

The dessert items range from dognuts, muffins and apple pies to icecreams and sundaes. These are all very tasty and reasonably priced, generally in the £1 region.

Mcdonalds is known to be relatively unhealthy, people have even made movie documentaries about it such as 'Supersize Me' which has someone eating nothing but Mcdonalds for 30 days against all medical advise. However, as 'treats' or 'one offs' I enjoy having a McDonalds meal and believe you know the type of food you are getting anywhere in the world with their common menu. Its open when other food outlets are closed and can be found everywhere!
