Advantages: Some of the food is ok; The desserts are nice

Disadvantages: Full of fat and junk; Expensive for the quality of the food; Not even that nice

Mcdonalds are everywhere and even though I'm not mad keen on it there are certain items that I do like and will eat now and then. I'm going to break this review up into sections so I can give you a proper idea of the sort of food they sell, the food will all be the same from one Mcdonalds to another so even though I usually use ones in Birmingham you could go to one 100 miles away and the choice and quality will be the same.

BREAKFASTS

I like some of the Mcdonalds breakfasts even though they're always dripping in fat, but that's the appeal of them because the only time I'd ever want to eat one of these is when I've got a hangover and then it's the greasier the better!!! lol The Muffins are my faves, you can have either bacon or sausage but I deffo recommend the sausage one because the bacon in Mcdonalds is usually undercooked and proper rank. The Big Breakfast is quite nice but it's not very big and hardly touches the sides sometimes so I don't bother with them, if I remember right you get a sausage, pile of tough scrambled eggs, a muffin and hash brown. Not exactly worthy of the name BIG breakfast!

You can have bagels in Mcdonalds now if your trying to be healthy but I can't see the point of coming here to eat a bagel so wouldn't bother with one of them, I think you can get a bowl of Oats So Simple as well but again I'd rather have that at home than sit among the greasy smell in Mcdonalds.

MAIN MENU

God where do I start??? It's this main menu that I'd not mad keen on because it's been the same for years and the food isn't all that good! The fries in Mcdonalds are stone cold most of the time and the burgers aren't much better. If I do have something from Mcdonalds I will have a McChicken Sandwich because that's the only thing that tastes like it should I reckon. None of the beef burgers taste of meat very much and they are proper crumbly, the Big Mac is ok but I think that's only because of the yummy sauce they put on it. Stay away from the quarterpounder burgers though because I reckon they are rank and crammed so full of fat that I'm surprised there's any room for meat in them, dry as anything as well and if you have the one with cheese the cheese actually overpowers the burger!

They do a veggie burger but I've never had one of them. There is a fish burger as well and that's quite nice but proper bland so you need a pot of sauce to dip it into.

DRINKS

Coke, Fanta, Sprite, coffee, tea, milkshakes and hot chocolate. The hot chocolate is mad because it tastes salty and the shakes are just too thick for me to enjoy them.

DESSERTS

The desserts in mcdonalds are better than the actual food I reckon. They do an ice cream called a McFlurry, this is vanilla ice cream with bits of different chocolate bars mixed in. They do a wicked cream egg one at Easter and I always have a few of them over the time they are available, the Oreo one was nice as well but that disappeared proper quick and they haven't brought it back even though the lad at my local Mcdonalds said it was a big seller! The Mcdonalds apple pies are yummy, they are an oblong of bubbly pastry thats filled with an apple and cinnamon filling but make sure you don't burn your mouth because the filling is mega hot.

OVERALL

I think Mcdonalds is well over rated, a meal in here costs about £4.50 but it's that sort of food that doesn't fill you up and even though you might feel bloated when you leave you'll feel hungry again not long after so it's a waste of money. The Happy Meals for kids are one of the great rip offs of our time and you get a small fries, mini drink, burger and crap toy in a grease soaked cardboard box and that costs over £2.00. I think it's sick the amount of parents who buy their kids Happy Meals regular for their dinner, my next door neighbour would buy her 4 year old son one nearly every night for his tea and that's a diet with hardly any nutrition in it at all.

Summary: Get Fat Quick, Go To Mcdonalds!

Sorry for the lowish rate - but your review is a bit heavy on the slang, rants a bit and uses a few expressions that don't really belong in a review as often as you use them (see title :-p)

Am I right in thinking you're not loving it?

same here, barring a chicken premiere once a year or less I'm out of there!
