Apple Pie - Nuff Said! (McDonald's)

McDonalds is a yummy place and I have been eating there since I was about 10 years old and still love the place now. The most recent time I went to McDonalds was literally 2 days ago and that was because I had a 4 hour drive to do and needed some food that would refuel me and fill me up for the journey and McDonalds always does the trick. Here is why I think it is a fabulous fast food place but why you should not perhaps eat there all of the time.

What is McDonalds?
McDonalds is a fast food restaurant which you should be able to find everywhere. It is symbolised by a huge Yellow M and has the mascot of Ronald McDonald who I have always thought is a bit of a scary clown as I don't like clowns. It sells something for everybody which is nice and always has a seating area and parking. Most of them do have drive thru too so like other fast food places you don't even have to get out of the car which is great when in a rush like me half the time.

The best thing about McDonalds is that the restaurants are everywhere and they must be the biggest fast food chain as wherever you are or whatever country you are bound to run into a MCDonalds to eat at. Just look out for the red building signs with the big yellow M.


The Food
So the best thing about McDonalds is the food and I have samples quite a lot of it so here it goes.

My favourite meal at the moment is the Veggie deli which is just over £4 and you get a delicious veggie deli sandwich, chips and a drink. The sandwich has a chick pea type patty on a yummy sub with lettuce and mayo and also the most delicious sweet chilli sauce which I love. Also it is so filling that it stops me having a dessert which is my other weakness at this restaurant.

My other favourite is just the normal cheeseburger and hamburger which are just under and over £1 each whic is great value. Have to say they don't fill you up much on their own though but you can get chips which come in regular and large so for an extra £1 you can have some which is yummy! One of my tricks though is to order happy meals which are just £1.99 and great value for kids as you get a cheeseburger, chips and a drink which is fab.

Then you have some big burgers such as the big mac, Quarter pounder and then the McChicken sandwich if you don't fancy beef. All of these burgers are around £2 and you can get meals for around the £4 mark which are good value for when you are hungry.

If you fancy something a little bit healthier then the deli menu is good but they are a little more expensive for the sandwiches which have things like sweet chilli chicken and the veggie one. They are £3 but you can get them for £1.99 if you have the deli of the day which you can see on the boards when you are there.

Plus McDonalds do do some good salads for around £3 but I have never had one as I always find something a lot more tempting so if I ever have one I will let you know.

I haven't told you about the breakfast menu at Mcdonalds and this is so yummy so I must tell you now. My favourite is the pancake and sausage meal which is about £2 and has 3 pancakes with a sausage patty and then some syrup to pour on the top. It is delicious. I do also like the Egg McMuffin and Sausage McMuffin though which is a breakfast muffin with egg or sausage in and these are so nice and filling which is lovely. I thoroughly recommend going for breakfast.

Drinks
McDonalds has the normal soft drinks of coke and fanta and then has things such as Fruit shoots. You can also get delicious milkshakes in chocolate, strawberry, vanilla and banana and these are so lovely. You can also get a chocolate caramel shake at the minute which I loved but it was so sickly so I couldn't drink it all.

You can get hot drinks at McDonalds and I have to say the hot chocolate is something to write home about as it is the best hot chocolate ever so try it!

Desserts
This is a lovely section of my review as I can tell you about the absolute wonderfulness of McDonalds apple pie. It is hot apple with sauce that is encased in the most delicious batter ever and I cant get enough of these. Whenever I have a trip to McDonalds I have to have one of these as they are crispy and just so yummy and tasty. I hate apple pie in the original form most of the time but this is something different. The apple pies are only around £1 so well worth it.

You can also get the yummy McFlurry which is around £1 and is icecream but mixed with stuff so Cadburys dairy mils for example or smarties. Wow it is nice if you are a fan of icecream which I am. You can also get muffins, chocolate brownies and cookies from McDonalds so you have a good choice.

Conclusion
I love McDonalds and have been eating there for years. I think it is nice food which is very reasonably priced and tastes delicious. I wouldn't eat there all of the time as the food is very high in calories and the calorie content is printed on everything you buy there which is good for them to tell you about and make you aware.

I will continue eating at McDonalds restaurants at any time of the day as they are yummy and for fast food it is good food and tasty food. Thoroughly recommend!!
