Advantages: Cheap, Full Meal, Tasty
Disadvantages: Waiting in queue, Not always hot, Travel Costs
I have loved and will always love the McDonalds Fast Food in England. I especially love the Big Mac Meal. I Hear people around me all the time saying how McDonalds is the worst place for fast food, and I think to myself that they must have not really taken a good big bite out of a Big Mac because it is the best meal i have had.
On the other hand, if i heard people in France saying that McDonalds is the worst place for fast food, i would have to agree with them. I Went France (DisneyLand Paris) earlier this year, and decided to go McDonalds since they were soooo good in England. That was the worst decision I made while in France.
The Big Mac was absolutely terrible. It must have been the mustard or something, because it had a weird taste, unless it was the French meat. After that meal at McDonalds, I never visited them again until I got home in England and reset my taste buds to the English way.
Also, the price of a Big Mac in France was a lot more expensive than here in Britain. It worked out to be about £5. The price however, was at the McDonalds in the Disney Land area, so that could explain the high prices.

The service that I received in Britain compared with the service in France was a lot better.

I am disabled and ordered a Big Mac meal in France, I had to walk up some stairs to get to my freinds, and misplaced my foot, I managed to stop myself from being hurt, but my Orange Fanta went flying. There was a member of staff standing at the top of the stairs, who didn't lift a finger to help me. Fortunately my freinds helped me get up the stairs and carried my food for me.

The service here in Britain is Brilliant. I have before fallen over, and the staff have always helped me.
The service however in Britain is quite slow, especially since they sometimes have less than half the tills open at busy times of the day.
If i were to rate the staff
service, it would be:
France : 4/10
Britain: 9/10 (One less point for slow service)

- 21/09/01 Hi r machin, yes, it does make a change to read about someone who likes eating at McDonalds. I notice you are getting lots of Usefuls, which is fab for such an early opinion here, but if you are looking to boost up your ratings to VU you could add in some more general info about what you think of McD's, such as the general atmosphere there, how you rate the staff service and so on. If you do update, let me know and I'll be back to read more, but make sure you have fun in any event :o) |
