As an employee of Mcdonalds, i feel i have to give my opinion on the company, and to give you an insight to how we work.

Mcdonalds, as we all know is a world-wide organistation. Indeed why do all the customers come back to us, and make us one of the fastest growing companies in the uk?

The taste of the food is like no other. We at Mcdonalds go through rediculous amounts of training. For example did you know a big mac sauce tube will dress around 36-38 Big Macs? I even know how many serving of lettuce in a bag. Food is cooked to the strictest guidelines, and believe me, they are tough on us staff. Food that has been assembled and wrapped will stay in production no longer than 10 mins, then it is thrown. We have a special clock with a time on the outside, and a time on the inside. When we place the food in the production bin, we place a time card behind the food. When the number comes up on the inside, if it has not been sold, it get thrown. We have over £200 worth of food waste a day just through food going out of time. No product takes longer than 6 minutes to cook, which literally makes us on of the leading fast food retailers for speed.

You can ensure than our restaurants are clean, every piece of equipment is taken apart and cleaned, from the grills to the drinks towers, daily. Floors are swept and cleaned every hour, we even have a timer for when to change the cloths (we change them every 30 mins).

Yes Mcdonalds does have a stigma attatched to it, if you say you work for them. You might have already imagined me to be a sad spotty teenager, who is at college. Well i am a married mother of two, and i love the job. I have good qualifications , but cannot work full time untill my daughter starts school full time. So i am not thick, i have a family, so why am i working at Mcdonalds? As an employer, they are very understanding and are very flexible for parents. The pay is good, i get more money that these who work
in Dorothy Perkins, and i get a pay review every six months, with good bonus opportunities. We have four weeks of paid holiday a year, paid training courses( first aid, food hygiene ect), Uniforms provided and lunch provided. We have an employee card, which gives us discounts with a number of leading outlets, and theme parks such as Alton Towers.

As a company Mcdonalds is the most proffesional and efficient, that i have ever experienced(and i have alot of experience). Mcdonalds encourage crew members to climb the job ladder, with opportunities always available.

For customers, the food on offer is always of the best value, no other fast food restaurant can compete on price and quality, especialy the happy toys, they are always good quality, my kids have a box full upstairs, and have endless amounts of fun!

Yes sometimes standards do fall, we are no angels, but you cannot dispute that our food tastes the same, wherever you are in the world. So you lot that hate Mcdonalds, millons of others don't agree with you, and think we are the best thing since sliced bread. Its all about a matter of peoples own individual tastes, so just because you don't like it, there is no need to say its all crap, it's all just a matter of individual opinion.

Also next time you go into Mcdonalds, please remember we are human, we have feelings, and we are not thick, the amount of abuse we get in a day because of our work place is unreal, so next time look, is it me, a married mother of two, is he a dad, or does he have a degree? Don't label us, just enjoy the food, its what you came in for right?????
