Newest Review: ... because its not as posh as you would expect. There is not a huge number of seats available like you would think also here. They have less seats available here than what you would expect here. We had no problem finding a seat here as hardly no one was eating inside on the day we came. Strangely we had a problem of finding a menu available on our table. There was no menu available on the ... more

mehraan restaurant was an excellent restaurant at affordable prices for an average person. the staff have always been friendly and committed. (maybe this is the reason that this restaurant lasted 23 years in bussiness in an area hit by not one but two riots.)
the food has always been good and value for money.
the restaurant owner retired and passed the lease to new people who took it on trial in jan/feb then name changed to karahi haven a few moinths later.
it had approx 60 covers, 32 on ground floor and remainder on first floor.
service excellent, food excellent, friendly staff until the original owners of 23 years were there.
i certainly hope that the people would realise and appreciate so many years of hard work by all at the original mehraan restaurant.

hi i would like to ask you whens the last time you went to mehraan the food there was really nice staff very friendly , we went there for years mehraan was there since 1985 its was there for over 20 years if the food and staff were the way your saying why would it be there for so many years after the riots the place did go quite, and after that the boss of mehraan retired and spends his most time abroad.
There is a new restaurent there called karia heaven and they have been there for almost two years.

Earlier this year in March a group of friends and I came here to eat at Mehraan Indian Restaurant. At this time the restaurant was experiencing some problem and had special offers for their meals so we came here to eat. Mehraan looks a very attractive restaurant when you look at it from the outside. I can say inside its not the same situation because its not as posh as you would expect. There is not a huge number of seats available like you would think also here. They have less seats available here than what you would expect here.
