The Merrow Dynasty has the distinction for a small Indian restaurant of having been favourably reviewed in the Daily Telegraph by news-reader Michael Buerk (nothing to do of course with the fact that he lives just round the corner). The Dynasty looks nothing from the outside, just the usual Indian, in a parade of shops opposite the Horse and Groom pub. But those who used to visit the hardware shop that used to occupy the premises will know that once you get inside, it opens up into quite a large area behind the façade, and the current proprietor has converted it into a very comfortable, spacious and nicely appointed restaurant.
