Newest Review: ... for an entire service and still provide good service...this was not the case at Mexxa Mexxa. As I have said, our drinks order, a simple beer and a lemondade, took too long to arrive and as for our starter... To start we had ordered a dish of garlic mushrooms to share, these took about 25 minutes to appear and when they did it really was nothing special tht required more than a few moments to ... more

... preoare, certainly nothing to justify such a wait when the restaurant was as quiet as it was! To eat, the mushrooms were very nice, they had been pan sauted in garlic and butter and a few herbs, and were very tasty. Once we had finished the mushrooms, ...more

My girlfriend and I went along to Mexxa Mexxa on the recommendation of friends who had told us that the rack of ribs was huge and delicious...which I have to say sounded extremely tempting (even as I type this, the thought of a nice bbq rack of ribs has got my mouth watering!). We had not really planned to go, it was one of those spontaneous evenings that happen from time to time. I just suggested we go out and we ended up at Mexxa Mexxa as there were a few tables free and we both remembered the promise of the yummy ribs. We went in and were seated at a small table towards the back of the restaurant. The restaurant is not the biggest of places but ...  Read the complete review

Express Review on Mexxa Mexxa

TERRIBLE!! booked a table for 2. we were seated and we were left HALF AN HOUR before drinks were even ordered. Waitresses who cleanded tables or even sat new tables saw us sitting and waiting. Out of protest i refused to ask them for a menu or drinks...After waiting for half hour i walked out (with a huff) ...absolutely shocking...and this was the second time we'd been LEFT! we wont be revisiting. Too many unorganised staff for my liking. Even the chef appeared in the restaurant with an angry look on his face. Its a shame really but just goes to show teenagers cant hold down the fort of a busting business like Mexxa Mexxa. Get some management!!

Mexxa Mexxa: Terrible (92 words)

Appalling meal and service. Food was clearly microwaved (nachos came with crispy cheese). Portions were measly and the waitress paid no attention to requests. We had to order side dishes to make up for the tiny portions. Nothing came out at the same time so half the table had eaten by the time the rest of the food came out. Only good bit was the alcohol and the waitress clearly couldn't work out her maths as we were undercharged. Do not bother going unless there is absolutely nowhere else to ...  Read the complete review

You may be asking yourself why I choose o call a review on a Mexican restaurant 'Nice Burgers'? Well, it's simple...I don't like mexican food, but my fiance loves it. I first went to Mexxa Mexxa two years back for my fiance's work Christmas do, I was not really keen on the idea, but didn't want to miss out. He told me not to worry about not liking mexican, as they have some English dishes. I was quite impressed to find out that most of these dishes are burgers..... And I do like burgers. Since the first time we've been back a few times, and I will admit to being very boring, ordering the same each time. We tend to have 'El Combo' to share to start, which is ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Mexxa Mexxa - Simply the Best! (489 words)

This is the best mexican restaurant I've ever been to (Out of quite a few) and I guess that explains why I frequently return. Mexxa Mexxa is a small chain of 3 kent-based mexican restaurants that have only been around for a few years. They have restaurants in Gravesend (Which only opened late last year) and West Malling as well as Maidstone. Mexxa Mexxa offers an excellent atmosphere and menu. The lighting is intimate and welcoming with candles in wine bottles on every table and dimmed lighting, and the tables and chairs that fit in with the mexican theme. Apart from the occasional long seat against a wall which is covered in zebra-patterned material! ...  Read the complete review
