I visited Brighton a few weeks ago and was really keen to got to Momma Cherri's. We booked in for my boyfriend's birthday - they said they would decorate the table for him. When we arrived there was a laminated piece of paper saying 'happy birthday' and a limp balloon on the table. I almost wish they hadn't bothered! We ordered the soul in a bowl and were thoroughly unimpressed. The portions were tiny and the meat really greasy. They say that you get a selection of dishes from the menu so you get to try a bit of everything. I think it was about £13 each and we shared 4 bowls for starters and 4 for mains.
