My 10 Favourite RestaurantsNewest Review: ... just enjoy the food. 2) Masala zone, an indian restaurant situated Soho, Covent Garden, Islington. The food options vary from main meals to street food to thali's and set menu's. The food is very tasty whereby you can distinguish the various spices used and with there being specials that change regularly. The menu is great value too. Average price for meal and drinks £10 - 20 depending on ... more |

I have been to a number of restaurants in my time and will try to narrow it down to my favourite 10 in London. In no particular order. 1) Sofra. This is a Turkish restaurant chain that has numerous restaurants in London. These are situated at St.Christophers Place (Just off Oxford St), Covent Garden, Mayfair and St.John's wood. The particular branch I am reviewing is St.Christophers Place. The restaurant itself does get quite busy with there often being a queue, however you do tend to get offered a glass of wine if you are waiting for a while. There is both inside and outside seating. The food itself comes in a variety of forms, ... Read the complete review

If I could afford it I’d eat out every night. Unfortunately, I can’t. Here are a round-up of some of the best restaurants I’ve sampled in my 3 years in the Capital – I’ve tried to include a broad range of cuisines to suit all pockets, covering as much of London as possible, so get stuck in there! I would also like to recommend the following websites if you’re dithering about where to go, or chronically unable to make decisions like myself: www.london-eating.co.uk - user reviews of many London restaurants, searchable database www.restaurantspy.com - cute site with restaurants listed by area ... London has a reputation for being expensive, and to be fair, some restaurants do their best to live up to it. My selection here are not necessarily the ones I’d choose for a special dinner or to impress others, but do offer excellent value for money. They also show a geographical bias: having lived and worked in North London for the last eight or so years, I’ve tended to eat there too! However, there are some very good central ones as well for those of you who live elsewhere or visit from out of town. You might also guess from my choices that I’m vegetarian… So here they are, in no particular order: 1. The Stockpot (Panton ... Read the complete review

Bizarre – I find myself writing an op on my favourite restaurants on the same day that I’ve compiled another one on my new diet. Must be the masochist in me – I just can’t wait to torture myself with memories of all the scrummy food I’ve eaten in the past and am now forbidden to eat! Anyway...Here are my current fave places to eat in London: La Porchetta (Muswell Hill) This is a fantastic Italian restaurant, the ideal place to get together with a group of close friends for some vino and the most delicious pizzas you can imagine. It’s a noisy, exuberant place, always packed with people, don’t bother ... Read the complete review

I like to eat out quite regularly, I like a wide range of different food. Here is a list of my top ten restaurants in North London. It isn’t easy to decide which should come first, as my favourite restaurant will be any of these, depending on what type of food I fancy on any one day, so these are listed in random order. Welcome Café 177 Ballards Lane Finchley N3 This may look like cheating, as it is a café and not a restaurant. This place is, however, the ideal place to eat if you are very hungry and on a tight budget. The food is mainly traditional English , such as roast beef with all the trimmings, steak and ...
