Advantages: Saves you having to read an entire Restuarant Guide

Disadvantages: You might not like my choices!

I am new to this site and have just found this cateogory and I am delighted! My life is dedicated to finding the best places to eat out in London so this is a dream come true!

1. The Square, 6-10 Bruton St, SW1
One of most expensive places I have ever eaten (I'm talking £100 a head) but also the best I have ever been to. The food was divine surpassing anything I have had before with the best cheese board in London, the servcie impecable and the ambience wonderfully relaxing - a once in a lifetime experience not to be missed

2. Souk, Lichfield Street
At the other end of the scale but equally amazing is Souk. Don't be put off by the dingy entrance - you descend the stairs to enter a room transported straight from Marrakech. Extremely well priced North African food with belly dancing thrown in. Try to get one of the little coves.

3. Salusbury Pub, NW2
Fantastic gastropub with an informal pub bit where you can eat and a dining room for a more extensive menu. Sunday lunch is tops

4. Satsuma, 56 Wardour St, W1
For quick, cheap Japanese food this is the place to go - much better than the "herd them in like cattle" Wagamamas

5. Lansdowne, Gloucester Av, NW1
Another 'gastropub'. Trendy place always buzzing and splendid grub

6. Randall and Aubin, Brewer st, W1
There is something undeniably sexy about eating seafood and drinking champagne and here you can do it whilst watching Soho pass by in full swing

7. Smiths of Smithfields
Four opitions - breakfasts and cornish pasties in the bar, private room on 1st floor, good food at very reasonable prices on 2nd or expensive but superb organic food on 3rd - the choice is yours

8. Richard Corrigan at Lindsay House, Romilly St
Another mega expensive place but worth it for the experience - it is an 18th century house in Soho with excellent Irish fare

9. Pizza Express
There had to be one chain
on this list and this is the best by far!

10. Good Earth, West Hampstead, Mill Hill, Richmond
And when I'm not eating out I'm getting takeaways! - superior Chinese takeaway by a long shot. Excellent crispy duck, crispy lamb and sweet and sour chicken
