Advantages: Atmosphere, food, price, music, people

Disadvantages: Isn't one in Chelmsford!

Have to say I agree with most of the other reviewers here. Very tasty food, great atmosphere and good price.

But don't compare Nandos (as some have) to other typical restaurants - it tries to be affordable as well as enjoyable - so there are savings on service (order at bar, get your own cutlery) and the chicken or .... chicken menu (very tasty though).

As to the atmosphere - some complain its not authentically Portuguese - go to their website and you find out why - it's colonial Portuguese; in fact colonial African Portuguese, founded in South Africa and based on food originating from Mozambique (an ex Portuguese colony).

When I first entered Nandos, I definitely felt there was some African ambience (having lived in Southern Africa for some years) and the Music is an excellent tropical mix occasionally African.

Well, it might sound like I'm the owner - but I just enjoy the food and atmosphere.

Summary: Excellent food, atmosphere and price!
