Advantages: Quick, good value, very tasty, reasonably healthy

Disadvantages: Spice levels are maybe too much for some (children for example)

Nando's chicken is, for me, one of the great pleasures in life. The service in every outlet I have visited has always been friendly and the food is delicious and importantly, quick!
The system of ordering at the counter means that you do not need to hang about waiting for a waiter/waitress and your chicken can be on the grill as soon as you order, this means your food seldom takes more than 10 minutes to get to your table, particularly if you know what you want when you walk in rather than sitting and looking at the menu.

The menu is, as expected largely chicken based, with 5 choices of flavour, from mango and lime/ lemon and herb for those who dislike spicy food all the way through to extra hot which definitely lives up to its name! I tend to go for medium which is hot enough for me and very tasty. There is a wide selection of sides to go with your chicken from fries and coleslaw to corn on the cob and a kind of Portuguese mashed potato so there should be something for most people. Also the servings are generous and should fill most bellies, though the bottomless frozen yogurt is delicious and recommended if you do have any room left.

The one problem I can see with Nando's is for those with children, who may find even the mildest chicken quite hot, and vegetarians, though there are several choices that are meat free but it is probably worth checking the menu first to see there is something you will enjoy if chicken is not your thing.

Nando's restaurants probably offer the healthiest menu of all the fast food chains, chicken with rice and corn on the cob is a balanced meal for example and the chicken is flame grilled not roasted in fat or fried which also keeps the calories down. So if you a fan of spicy food and have a good appetite then my advice is to head to Nando's
