Advantages: Fantastic food, quick service, cheap prices

Disadvantages: None

God I love Nandos, good food at cheap prices and quick service all make for an excellent dining experience.

My first visit to Nandos was 4 years ago during a visit to see a friend in Kent, she suggested eating there for lunch and assured me I would be impressed, indeed I was.

We were greeted by a very friendly and enthusiastic member of staff, or Barista as they are known, and shown to a table straight away, you are always asked if you have been to Nandos before so you know how to order your food. Once you're settled at your table and have chosen your meal you place your order at the counter (where you can see the food being cooked) and collect your glasses, a short while later your food appears as if by magic all fresh and yummy.

Each time I have visited I have never had to wait longer than 10-15 minutes for my order no matter how busy the place is. The staff are efficient, friendly and happy to help in anyway. The food is excellent and the prices very good value for money.

My fave meal there at the moment is a chicken pitta with chips and spicy rice, this together with a bottomless Diet Coke is around £10 which is a bargain in my book considering the food is freshly cooked and isnt left sitting around like some fast food joints.

Should you choose chicken you can have it marinaded in several ways depending how hot you can take it, I like to go for medium though you can have mango and lime or hot to ring the changes. There are also a good selection of sauces to spice things up even further.

In addition to chicken which makes up the bulk of the menu there are veggie options including a delicious mushroom and halloumi cheese burger and bean patties. I have never had a bad meal here and would happily recommend anything on the menu. I have yet to sample the desserts though as I have always been too full to even consider them after a chicken feast!

Nandos seem to be opening new restaurants all the time, one recently opened at the Westquay centre in Southampton which I have of course already visited. The only slight grump I have is that I wish their resturants were larger, the Southampton one is very small for the size of the shopping centre and always has a long queue for a table, that said I love the place so much I am always willing to wait.

If you like chicken you'll love Nandos, get in there and get a fix of Portuguese chickeny wonderfulness!

Summary: One of the best fast food restaurants
