Good chicken but beware of the hot one! (Nandos)

Advantages: Inexpensive, good food and a good atmosphere

Disadvantages: not an extensive menu

We now have a 'Frangos' near us.. I guess imiatiation is the sencerest form of flattery!

I've been back to Nando's many times. First time I went was with a Portuguese family, who love it. Praise indeed shows this Portuguese Chicken Restaurant is authentic.

Nandos don't have an extensive menu, it's all about the chicken! They do have a few veggie and other meat alternatives but chicken is their spreciality and they do it so well. You can order 1/4, 1/2 or whole chicken and sides, burgers, and a large range of salads. Whatever you choose you can have your chicken in a choice of peri peri marinades. Mango and Lime or Lemon and Herb are the least spicy though still have a little punch, Medium hot or extra hot, and yes they are very hot!!

The houmous and peri oil starter is to die for, and there are a good range of oher starter and sides.

The whole restaurant is very reasonably priced. The way they are decorated with the Portuguese Rooster theme is quirky and fun. Great for kids and adults alike, they have a bottomless option on their soft drinks and frozen yogurts too so you can go back for as much as you like.

Summary: Great for all ages and very tasty
