Advantages: Fantastic taste, sauces available from supermarket, reasonably priced.
Disadvantages: None
Nando's is the home of Portuguese cooking and 'Peri-Peri' sauce which is now so popular that it is available in supermarkets by the bottle.
There are many Nando's restaurants throughout the country so there should be one near most people reading this review. There is one here in my hometown of Harlow, Essex and from my experience they are all very similar in appearance and they all cook the same food (with a few minor changes).
Nando's has quite an old fashioned Portuguese feel to it with lots of rustic looking features, hard tall chairs or booths and there is normally a raised area in most restaurants which is where the booths are and this tends to be the more popular area. There is an area for drinks which you can buy as an all you can drink for £1.95 and you can just continue returning for as many soft drinks & ice as you an fit in!
The food menu is predominantly chicken but there are a few other items available such as chicken livers or a steak roll. There are some nice starters available such as Peri-Peri nuts and olives which are lovely & juicy & succulent. There are lots of sides to go with your chicken such as chips, spicy rice, coleslaw, corn on the cob etc and there are lots of meal deals available with the cheapest starting at just a few pounds and the more expensive share platters which are designed for two or more people and have lots of different bits on them.
I find the food to be very tasty at Nando's and I love the fact that there are four different strengths that you can have your chicken so it should really be catered to your individual tastes. I love lemon & herb as I'm rubbish with spicy food sometimes and Tom loves having his medium as he likes some spice. All the food is cooked on open grills and it's possible to see it being cooked behind the counters as everything is pretty open. I love the char-grilled flavouring that my chicken gets and I just can't get enough of the Nando's taste!
I have never had to wait longer than a few minutes to be served and seated at Nando's and the staff are always nice and polite and helpful.
I would thoroughly recommend a visit to Nando's for anybody who is a fan of chicken and bottomless soft drinks! It's possible to have a great meal, unlimited soft drink and unlimited frozen yoghurt for under £10.00 and this is a fantastic price. I am rating Nando's 5/5 as I adore their food and have nothing bad to say about the restaurant.
Summary: A fantastic service and delicious chicken available at a reasonable price.
