Advantages: Tastes nice, casual, nice staff, cost

Disadvantages: Soft drink offer is misleading, look out for added tax

If you had asked me 2 years ago what Nando's was like i'd have had no idea, I hadn't really even heard of it until I moved to university and got together with my current partner who took me to Nando's during our first few months, we've been back numerous times thanks to the deliciousness and the fact it's also fairly cheap compared to similar places like Chiquito's.

Nando's sells purely chicken based items from wings, to burgers to whole chickens all spiced to whatever level you wish, myself have only been brave enough for try the weakest yet tasty lemon and herb spiciness. I'm not a big spice fan, in fact I despise spices after one quite horrible experience when I was younger.

Food:

The food is brilliant, I have only tried a few items on the menu, basically being the same thing as well, always go for the chicken wings or the half chicken with chips or similar, my partner usually goes for chicken burger with coleslaw and chips. These are both very nice tasting pieces, the chicken lightly spiced is delicious and having gotten used to it may well try and take up the next challenge of the next spice up.

We had a oudding once although I was unable to finish my strawberry ice cream whilst my partners chocolate one was far too sickly after a large nando's meal, they were nice puddings though.


Drink:

Everytime we go to Nando's get get a bottomless soft drink, unfortunatly this is only a good deal if you wish to have more than one drink, obviously the offer is there for you to have as many as you wish, from now on I think we shall be getting one for the both us us, £1.95 for one drink which we can both have and keep filling up sounds better than £3.90 for 2 drinks we only drink once.

There is also a range of drinks including tea and coffee in the pudding menu


Price:

Nando's has a fairly good price I think, the two of us are able to eat and drink for under £20 for 2 meals and a drink which compared to Chiquito's is very cheap, the only issue we had last time was with the tax or service which wasn't included in the price, we had worked out the cost whilst sat down and when we got to the counter there was tax added so we needed
to get some more money.

Chicken wings with chips and coleslaw can cost as little as £6/7 which is very cheap for a meal that will completley fill you up, if you are able to finish it whilst half a chicken costs around the same, the burgers can cost upwards of £8/9 but again you can get 2 side orders with that for very little.


Overall:

After never having been to Nando's for, well - ever, I now try and go a few times a year, it's a cheap and nice night out, we usually go just before or after going to the cinema as it means a nice night out once a month costs very little for the both of us and we are able to go whenever we want.

It's cost effective and tastes very nice, the chicken is all fresh and there are vegeterian alternatives on the menu, if you're looking for a place thats nice, not too fancy, nice staff and a casual meal out during the day or evening before going out then you can't go far wrong with Nando's
