Chicken the Nandos way (Nandos)

I paid my first visit to Nandos earlier today, in the gate Newcastle, and I have to say I was mightily impressed by everything that was there from the service I received, the eating environment and of course the quality of their food. The relaxed environment and the look of the place struck me as homely and comfy and the unique layout is very appealing. This specific Nandos had a toilet that was upstairs with a large glass window looking down onto the restaurant this is very novel and also made the whole place look a lot larger and spacious. As we sat down a staff member came over and asked if we had eaten at Nandos before and as we hadn't explained how it worked which I appreciated as it is not the same as your usual restaurant, due to you ordering and paying at a counter not at your table. He explained that you could choose how spicy you wanted your food and also that sauces where close by if we wanted more spice once we had ordered the meals. I ordered a ¼ chicken and a regular spicy rice with a "bottomless" soft drink this came to just £7.10, I personally think this is very reasonably priced for a full sit in meal. The waiting time from ordering to receiving your meal is minimal roughly 5minutes which is very good, and once we all received our food where asked if everything was okay and then were left to eat our meal and not bothered. The one downfall from the whole restaurant is that you can see the staff eating their meals as you are waiting for yours and although I do appreciate they need their food I think the restaurant could be improved by the staff having their own eating area. Overall a great experience and I would recommend it to going with a group of friends or even your family if you wanted a cheap meal out.
