Advantages: lovely food great price
Disadvantages: plate shares
Nandos is a portugese themed restaurant which populates all over the UK. Nandos has grown rapidly over the last few years, and new restaurants have opened up all over various citys and towns in the UK, I also heard from a friend that Nandos is popular in South Africa Too!
So...
Price - Nandos is pretty cheap, I find that you pay the same as Burger King but for much better quality food! Most of the meals are based around chicken *see below* , there are prego steak rolls, and vegetarian options too! The meals are all priced roughly between £5-£7, then bottomless soft drinks are roughly £2!!
Chicken - You can get chicken burgers, whole chickens, double chicken burgers, half a chicken, chicken in pitta, quarter of chicken, double chicken in pitta, chicken wings, chicken salads.....
Drinks - The most popular choice is the bottomless soft drinks, around £2, altho I went a few weeks ago and had chicken breast in pitta with spicey rice and a cider for £12 which is not bad at all.
Sides - Side options include chips, coleslaw, sorn on the cob and my favourite spicey rice (Fans plz try uncle bens mexican rice! very similar).
For a first date nandos is a great place to go, its not wallet crunching, in the evenings theres a nice chilled atmosphere, some restaurants even have low lighting and share a bottle of chilled wine!
One thing i dont like about nandos is they sometimes bring two meals out on one plate so you have to go grab another plate.
You can grab your own cutlery, sauces, napkins etc so you dont ahve to deal with wait staff bugging you asking if you want bleedin' pepper!
In the daytime Nandosis a great place to grab a meal with mates if you've been out and about!
Summary: I love nandos!
