Olive GroveNewest Review: ... staff but the heat. Food Starter - Polenta al Fungi - We shared this starter, basically polenta and mushrooms in a white wine, cream, gorgonzola sauce. I have lived in Canterbury but only recently tried the Olive Grove with my pregnant sister. We was on our way to our usual favourite restaurant Little Italy when a friend suggested the Olive Grove. As this is an Italian restaurant we throught worth the try. However we were both disappointed not by the food or the staff but the heat. Absolutely appalling staff attitude towards customers - especially the floor manager.
One of our party had the seafood risotto and the muscles had not been cleaned out properly so they left the food. The waitress took it back to the kitchen and they apologised - when the bill came they had still charged us for the meal so we asked then to take it off and the manager spoke extremely rudely towards us and was adamant she was right and told us we were not welcome to eat there again.
We DO NOT RECOMMEND anyone to eat here - not after the service we received.
