Advantages: Good Value, Great food, location
Disadvantages: Only open 'till 11pm, taken English Breakfast Pizza off menu
The Gourmet Pizza Company is located on Gabriels Wharf on the South Bank, just by the National Theatre. It is a fantastic location, right on the river and you can even sit outside in the summer and watch the world go by. This is a great place to eat on a warm summers evening.
The food, Pizza and Pasta (mainly) is very good and very reasonably priced. Everyone I have been there with has always been impressed. The staff are friendly and the house wine good.
If you are going on a summers weekend, it can get very busy and you may have to queue. I'm not sure if you can book, but it's worth a try - book a table with a river view!
If it's full, why not try Studio 6, still in Gabriels wharf, but without the river view (but you can sit outside). Food is modern British and quite reasonable. Again though, this place is heaving in the summer.
