Thought we'd order something different other than Chinese and decided to go for pizza. USed Perfect Pizza in Exeter a couple years ago regularly and were more than happy with them but we did live over the road.Phoned them up, placed the order and were told should take about 40 minutes. An hour came so I called them, said the driver should be near so I waited another 15 mins and called them wondering where the driver is. We just spoke to him he should be on your doorstep and when I voiced my concerns about hot food I was told the food will be ok due to the bags.Ten minutes later he arrived (now 1h25mins minutes later) and we tucked right in and 10 mins later and the food is cold.Won't be ordering from them any more, thoroughly disappointed.
Shall I tell you a secret?
If I did it wouldn't be a secret anymore...
Oh okay then...
I'm a pizza junkie, I would eat it all day everyday if I could (and my waistline permits...unfortunately my metabolism has changed since having a baby so I can no longer get away with it!)
I've been using Perfect Pizza's delivery service for over four years now, since moving to Stafford, and their service is brilliant. Shall we take it step by step?
**When can I order my pizza?**
If you are ordering by phone their opening times are 16:30 - 23:30 Sun - Thurs. 16:00 - midnight on fridays and saturdays. They also have an online ordering facility, that is pretty simple to use, and easy to follow. There is usually a reply pretty quickly on the phone, within a couple of minutes, and we order so often, they match up our phone number to our address and it can take as little as thirty seconds for the order to be completed. They also have the option to pay by debit/credit card over the phone and this takes a little bit longer.
**What about the menu?**
The menu is pretty good, and we usually get about 2 leaflets through the letterbox every week. There are lots of option for toppings, including make your own with upto four toppings on any deals, my 2 personal favourites are pepperoni perfection and the vegetarian version. They also have the options of thin crust, thick crust and cheese stuffed crusts, and you can order them in 'personal' sizes or upto 18", aswell as a variety of side orders ranging from simple coleslaw to hot jalapeño stuffed cheesy bites and BBQ chicken wings. They also have a small selection of desserts, my favourite being Ben and Jerry's cookie dough icecream, and a small selection of soft drinks available in cans or 1.5ltr bottles.
**How quickly do they deliver and do they get there on time?**
When I ask how long it will take the usual answer is 30 - 45 minutes, sometimes upto an hour on a busy weekend. They usually get here within 20 - 25 minutes depending on traffic. We don't come up on sat nav as where we live is a fairly new area, less than 5 years old, but even the first time we ordered from our new home it arrived quickly and within the time frame specified. When the food arrives it is normally piping hot and even when it hasn't been piping hot it still hasn't been cold, in fact sometimes we've had to let it cool down before we could eat it.
**So what's the food like?**
The pizza is heavenly, (the side orders and desserts aren't bad either!) and it is very filling. We usually get the deals available with an XL (18") pizza and a thick crust. It is great quality, even if it is LOTS of calories, so I would avoid if you're on a diet. We rarely get through the whole thing while watching a film, and it is lovely first thing in a morning cold. It reheats pretty well too if you don't like cold pizza. As previously stated, the pizza is almost always hot when it arrives, and there is nothing like tucking into a hot pizza, and I can even eat the crusts (I'm not a fan generally) and they are always generous with their toppings, generally you can't see the tomato base because it is absolutely covered with the toppings chosen (even the create your own ones - which were great when I was pregnant and craving weird things!)
**Customer service and atmosphere?**
To be honest, I'm not great with phones, and I will avoid making calls if I don't have to, due to severe anxiety issues currently. However my partner doesn't like calling either, so it's muggins here who usually ends up calling! The fact that they are efficient and quickly take my order helps a lot, and creates a great atmosphere for me as I know when I call it will be dealt with quickly and I won't be on long.
**Okay so what about if there's an issue?**
Very rarely (and I can't emphasise the rarely enough!) we have had a late delivery. Usually on a weekend if we call at peak times. All you have to do is call up and find out what's happened and after the call it's generally delivered shortly afterwards, normally it's been a new delivery person who hasn't been able to find us. (This is a common problem for us!) The person on the other end is always polite and easy to talk to and if they have a problem with your order they will give a call and let you know it may be delayed. The service is of a high quality and they are rarely engaged when you call.
**What about value for money, do they have any good deals?**
There is always a deal on with perfect pizza. We usually order on a monday or tuesday for the monday tuesday madness deal and order 2 XL pizza on BOGOF for just over £16, which considering it lasts until the next day I would says is great value for monday. I've also taken screenshots of their website to give you an idea of some of the deals they have available. There is alot of them!! Whatever you fancy, they will probably have a deal for it to maximise the value for money you get. We find them great in this respect as it's not something we can afford very often.
As we only use the delivery service and it's not an eat in branch, it's not something I can comment on, however I can say I've never found a hair or anything equally icky in our food, so I would say they have a good standard of cleanliness. As for family friendly? My son is not yet 3 so it's not something we need to concern ourselves with yet, as he's not allowed to have takeaways with us yet due to the calorie/fat content etc.
**Is it recommendable?**
Absolutely, in fact when we have friends visiting from my hometown we usually save up for a takeaway to treat them, and this is one of the first takeaways that gets suggested.

placed an order, 50 minutes for delivery, paid for an extra topping which apparently means replacement topping as they missed one out. ordered pudding. received a burnt offering without the dip! Excellent! Then told not allowed my money back and I should have specified the sauce (which is already specified when you order!). Staff in the Reading branch rude and arrogant. Never ever again.
I AM A REGULAR ONLINE CONSUMER FROM BIRMINGHAM CITY CENTER.THERE IS A OFFER CALLED COLLECT 6 STAMP YOU WILL GET A FREE LARGE PIZZA.THEY WERE VERY GOOD BEFORE, ONCE COLLECTED THE FULL STAMP, WHILE ORDERING FOR FREE THEY ARE GIVING A REASON WE ARE NOT GOING TO SERVE AS IT IS VERY FAR.IF THIS IS THE REASON WHY THEY SERVED US SINCE LAST YEAR REGULARLY.THEY SHOULD SAY THIS REASON BEFORE ITSELF,TO SAY ON FIRST ORDER OR ATLEAST 2ND 3RD OR...BUT WHILE AT THE NECK OF THE TIME TO COLLECT THE OFFER THEY ARE SAYING THAT GO AND COMPLAIN TO ANY BODY OR IF YOU WANT EVEN GO TO POLICE...THIS LEADS THE QUESTION WHY CAN'T THEY CHANGE THE NAME AS IMPERFECT PIZZA, VERY VERY DISAPPOINTMENT NO LOYALTY.BEWARE THOSE WHO LIVE IN BIRMINGHAM.
Note : ask them not to give advert(esp. in birmingham), if they do ask them to serve to the place without disappoinment.
THANK YOU FOR READING THIS.
HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR., PLEASE BLESS US NOT TO SEE LIKE THIS KIND OF PEOPLE IN FUTURE.
i always use to favour perfect pizza over dominoes but after a few bad experiences recently i have changed my opinions! Lets start with the positives, perfect pizza do create some lovely tasting pizzas with a variety of toppings to pick from, you can collect your pizza and they also provide a delivery service, they also sell drinks and desserts to accompany your pizza. I would always recommend calling your local store before ordering and asking what offers they have as a number of occasions we have called and got offers that was not showing on the website! They often do a buy any pizza and size for 9.99! And we struggle to eat the largest pizza between us so it's well worth it! Now recently they have gone down hill, a couple of times our pizza base has tasted quite stale! Twice we have had a pizza delivered that wasn't what we ordered! And they stopped selling my favourite topping morrocan lamb! A few times we have tried complaining but they just look at you like you have got three heads! Won't be using again!
Be careful ordering from their website.I have had two orders that have not been delivered now. I am stil lawaiting a refund for my last order.
I'll start off by saying this review is based around my experience with Perfect Pizza. I'm aware that in some areas, Perfect Pizza may be better or worse. Perfect Pizza are simply a pizza delivery service located throughout the country offering an astonishing range of pizza, toppings and sides. I live quite far out of towns and in a very rural area, therefore it's difficult for me to get access to fast food without having to drive out. One night I felt too lazy to cook and was really craving some pizza, therefore I checked out various pizza delivery services in the hope one may venture out to where I live. Luckily, there was a Perfect Pizza within a few miles which did therefore I was really happy and went on their website to see what they had to offer.
The website itself is really simple to work and shows all the foods they have to offer in different sections, as well as the deals that they offer. Obviously, deals will vary but they always have an extensive range on offer which is always great particularly if you have a family to feed. I chose to order a deal for £20 in which I got two large pizzas, chicken wings, garlic bread and wedges which I thought was fantastic. It was really simple to order the food and you have the choice on what time you'd like it to be delivered at or you can alternatively have it delivered straight away (which I did).
As far as pizza restaurants and deliveries go, Perfect Pizza offer a fantastic range of toppings and I always think they are one of the best for finding your perfect pizza. There is something for everyone regardless of if you like a simple Margherita, a big meaty pizza or if you are vegetarian, there is something to make you happy. And if none of the pizzas on the menu suit you, you can create your own with up to four toppings, and trust me they have pretty much every topping you could think of so I was very happy with this.
You also have the choice in what size pizza you wish to have and these include a personal 6" pizza which is 4 slices, a regular 9" which is 6 slices, a large 12" which is 8 slices or an extra large 15" which is 12 slices. As well as this, you also get the choice of what base you'd like your pizza to be whether this is a mega deep pan, cheese crust or thin crust. The range you can just from is just so excellent.
Furthermore, their menu doesn't stop at pizzas, there are a number of sides such as onion rings, garlic bread, chicken wings and many more which you can add on to your pizza, as well as having desserts such as Ben n Jerrys ice cream, waffles and cheesecake. Drinks are also available which are the usual Sprite, Coca Cola etc... I think that Perfect Pizza's menu is fantastic and there is such a wide range that you can make everyone happy.
As far as price goes, it's okay. I wouldn't say the menu itself is cheap, but if you take advantage of the deals it is well worth it. The prices on the regular menu are the same as you might see in somewhere like Pizza Hut where the quality might be a little higher. But because of the vast range of deals, I was happy to order from Perfect Pizza.
I had my order to be delivered straight away, and I was happy to receive it within around half an hour which I think is excellent. I have ordered from them in the past and they have always been fairly prompt with deliveries and never more than ten minutes late. The delivery man was very friendly, however the car he delivered in was a mess, and my whole road ended up smelling of fumes which I wasn't too happy with.
The important part was how well the product tasted. I was happy to see that everything had been delivered correctly, there were no items missing and all the pizzas had the correct toppings. The pizzas were quite greasy but this is expected from a fast food place, however they tasted delicious and they had a lot of toppings on whereas other pizza places sprinkle toppings on scarcely. The only problem was that there was quite a lot of cheese on my pizza and I hadn't ordered extra cheese but I have never had this problem before so maybe it was a one off. The pizzas were excellent and the whole family enjoyed them. The sides I had were garlic bread, wedges and wings. The garlic bread was fairly small so not that much to go round, although it was very tasty! Wedges were delicious and you get a good amount, and the wings were fairly nice. I was impressed with my meal and to get it for £20 was fantastic and I'd happily repurchase this again.
Overall, I was really happy with the service, the food, the website and the ordering. I will continue to order my pizza from Perfect Pizza. I'm going to give it four stars because the food is tasty but sometimes errors are made and it is quite greasy. Thank you for reading my review.
The first time I tried Perfect Pizza was when I lived in London. The shop was opposite my flat, so once a fortnight I'd treat myself. The pepperoni pizza was absolutely delicious!
Anyway, I moved away from London and soon forgot about Perfect Pizza all-together. They didn't seem to be marketing their brand at all so I thought they were only based 'down South'.
When I stumbled across their website a few months ago I couldn't resist ordering a meal deal to share with others. I ordered online and got a confirmation phone-call from their Hazel Grove store. So far, so good.
The delivery guy arrived about 45 minutes later and to be honest he wasn't what I was expecting. I thought that a brand name like Perfect Pizza might require their delivery staff to have some form of ID on them. He casually came up to my front gate, with the pizza behind his back so I couldn't visibly see what he was carrying. I was so apprehensive about letting him near my front door that I went to meet him at the gate, with someone watching for my safety. I've had people deliver things before without wearing anything official but this guy just looked... dodgy.
Anyway, I opened the boxes and the food looked average. Not as good as the food I'd eaten from the Franchaise in London, but it was ok.
We tried the Wedges first. These were undercooked and hard to the bite. Yuck!
The BBQ Chicken Wings tasted more like washing up liquid than barbecue sauce. In fact, I'm convinced they'd been cross-contaminated with some sort of kitchen chemical.
The garlic bread was undercooked, soggy, pale and tasteless. It was just a horrible sliced baguette really.
The pizza base was also undercooked and it tasted like soggy cake. It was absolutely awful. The toppings were rubbery and not at all fresh.
We tried to eat the meal as we didn't want to waste the money I'd paid for the takeaway. It ended up in the bin though as the taste made us feel very ill. I actually vomited the food up it was that bad.
I followed this up with an email complaint to Perfect Pizza's customer service department. When there was no reply to my first email, I followed it up with a second one to ask what was being done to deal with the issues raised.
The reply I recieved stated that they would contact the Store Manager to request a refund, and reply back to me with the progress of my complaint. When nothing happened, I emailed them again. They apologised and said they would now contact the Area Manager to resolve the complaint, then contact me. Once again I heard nothing from them at all. I sent another email but I've heard nothing since.
From my recent experience with this Franchaise chain, I would advise people to avoid Perfect Pizza like the plague. I suppose standards will vary around the UK, and if your store's great then fine. Just be very careful of ordering from Perfect Pizza if you haven't done so before. You might end up wasting your money just like me!
Perfect Pizza is by far my favourite takeaway pizza place; I'm yet to have a bad experience with them. There are always a few good deals to ensure it is not too costly as well. There are 110 stores throughout the UK but looking at their map the majority are found in and around London and around Birmingham.
There are a large range of pizzas and side dishes available as you would expect. Pizzas for one person (6") start at £3 up to £4.15, regulars (9") are between £7.55 and £11, large (12") is £9.55 to £13.85 depending on the toppings and extra large pizzas (15") peak at £14.99. I find that they are always generous with the toppings (which are really tasty!) and that the larger pizzas can feed a lot of people. Side orders range from things like garlic bread (£1.89) to chicken wings (£3.69). There are also drinks and desserts to buy.
If you order online and spend over £20, you get a 20% saving. There are several other deals such as two large pizzas, chicken wings, potato wedges and garlic bread for £22 - which I think is very reasonable. Out of interest I just compared prices with the Pizza Hut takeaway menu. I don't really like Pizza Hut pizzas as always find them too greasy - but anyway the prices are very similar.
Personally, I tend to go into the Perfect Pizza store to order/collect my pizza just because it is close to where I live. In the branch that I go to there is a big window where you can watch your pizza being made - children love this! It's reassuring to see the pizzas being freshly made. However, I'm not sure if this is the case in all stores.
My experience with Perfect Pizza has always been good - quick delivery (the longest I've waited is 40 minutes when I was round at a friends house which wasn't too bad) or if you are waiting in store they start cooking it straight away, and the food is excellent so I can't complain.
Well as it's Friday and usually one night a week we order in a take away of our choice. Tonight is pizza night! We tired perfect pizza about 6 years ago. Even then we only picked them as we really had no other choice, they are the only company close by that will deliver to our area!
Originally when we used to order from Perfect Pizza, we'd call up but now we find it so much easier to order online as you can even pay by card meaning that having no cash won't stop you! The ordering system is really simple. It shows pictures of all the pizza's and you just click on the desired choice and you can either add toppings, chose your base and select the size you want. You can then choose from a range of side orders like wedges, chicken and chips, garlic bread, drinks and deserts if you wish to.
Once you have everything you need in your vitrual 'basket' selelct checkout, here it will give you the option to pay cash on delivery or by card over their secure website, it couldn't be easier. Once confirmed a confirmation number will be emailed to you to re-assure you that your order has been received.
Now as we order online or over the phone, I have never been into the shop itself so I cannot comment on that. I can however comment on the food.
So far every experience we have had with perfect pizza has been a good one. Admittedly, it is a lot better now than it used to be in the early days, for a start that have a lot wider range and their delivery is now quicker and more reliable. The pizza's are lovely and not once have they got the order incorrect. With just the right amount of toppings you won't be left feeling cheated!
Perfect pizza often have some great offers on like buy any pizza get one free, two for £10 etc so it's worth checking the website first or asking them when you call up. Taking advantage of the offers means Perfect Pizza are good value for money. Without any of the offers it can be expensive! Overall i'd recommend, and the delivery drivers are always very nice and polite.
Perfect Pizza is a pizza takeaway & delivery chain and although not as big as the likes of Domino's and Pizza Hut, Perfect Pizza are up there with the best in quality & service.
Perfect Pizza offer you a wide choice of pizza's to choose from with different bases like Thin Crust (where you get a pizza on a thin base with crispy crust), Deep Pan (which is a deep bread base) and Stuffed Crust (medium base with cheese filled crusts). You can then choose from your different sizes, 'Personal' (6") Regular (9") Large (12") and Extra Large (15"). Then choose your toppings, they have standard menu item pizza's or create your own and select from around 30 different toppings.
They also have side dishes for either starters or people who may not want pizza they have things like Chps, Onon Rings, Garlic Bread and Chicken Wings. You can select from a range of sauce dips and then order deserts too, they have a nice selection of deserts including Chocolate Cake, Muffins, Belgian Waffles and branded Ben & Jerrys Ice Cream. Don't forget your drinks too with Coke, Lucazade, Fanta & Ribena available among others.
They have great pizza deals too, with buy one get one later (where you buy a pizza then get another cheaper to collect within 7 days) and buy one get one for £2 (where you get a second pizza of the same or cheaper value for just £2).
Their website is simple and easy to use, you can order in 2 minutes and have it delivered to your door or pop in to collect it. Simply pop in your postcode, make your selections and click checkout. You then pay for it with your card or select to pay cash on delivery, whats more is they promise to make sure that your offered the best deal even if you don't select it.
Their delivery is great, usually within 40 minutes and the drivers in this area are really nice (apart from one who made me go outside to his car to collect my order, but I am guessing he got sacked as he aint been in a while so hopefully someone complained), but apart from him, the drivers are friendly and pleasant, they deliver within 40minutes usually even on a Friday/Saturday night when they are their busiest.
The quality of their pizza's is great, very delicious pizza's with just the right amount of top quality toppings.
The downfall is their prices, same as the other chains, prices are quite high but you are getting good quality.
I must say firstly than I only stubled upon Perfect Pizza by chance, they were the only company to deliver in my area, and not the first I searched for. Right to the pizzas:
The pizzas themselfs are loverly, not greasy, not full of oil, they are like a pizza would be. They don't scrimp on topping, so if you wanted extra mushrooms they would give you more, not just one or two slices like pizza hut. The bases are light and non doughy. They taste very home made, like someone has taken a lot of care for your order. They are the nicest pizzas I have ever eaton, and I will certainly be using them again.
I bought the pizzas online, and wanted them to be delievered by 7.00pm. They arrived at 6.57pm. Now thats good timing! They were in good condition, not squashed and still very hot!
With the offers on the Perfect Pizza website you cannot beat them on price, you can get a second pizza for £2! I had two extra large pizzas for about the cost of one from Pizza hut!
All in all Perfect Pizza deliver great tasting pizzas at a great price, I really cannot understand why they have bad reviews.
I'm quite surprised by the negative reviews that Perfect Pizza has received on here! Whilst I don't doubt the integrity and honesty of my fellow dooyoo-ers it seems apparent that not all Perfect Pizza outlets are the same because my local branch is brilliant!
I love pizza. It is by far my favourite takeaway food and a great way to kick off a weekend, party, night out etc etc. Over the years I've sampled many pizzas from many outlets (perhaps my username should be pizza master!) but I have to say that Perfect Pizza tops them all (and circles them with a stuffed crust too!).
Firstly there are always brilliant offers on at our local branch which will let you get two massive pizzas of any type for about a tenner most days of the week. If this isn't enough we regularly get offer sheets through the door with very usable vouchers (although we often opt for the buy one get one free deals).
Secondly there is the quality - I've never been let down and always find the quality to be brilliant. The cheese is nice, to toppings first-rate and the actual cooking is spot-on.
Thirdly there is the service. CLEARLY his will differ from branch to branch but my local one can't do enough for you. As an example, if you go and collect it yourself they'll run around the till, over the counter and will insist on holding all the doors open until you get to your car!
Fourthly they have got the best pizza carriers by far - little red smart cars with massive pizza adverts plastered all over them!
It really seems that there is a lot of variation from place to place which is a great shame as my local one is brilliant - I'd suggest trying yours at least once if you are thinking about it because if it is half as good as my local one you won't be disappointed!
We have a takeaway every sunday night. Last sunday though, I was extremely hungover and didn't have any change on me - there was no way I was going out feeling like that so we decided to order online. There are only two pizza takeaways in our area that let you order online: Pizza hut and Perfect Pizza. Having already tried Pizza Hut we decided to go with Perfect Pizza - oh dear!
We ordered at 7pm.
At almost 8pm I rang up to find out where it was...
'Oh, we're bringing it right now. The order has just this second come through. We're coming right now, ok?' Hmmm.
At 8.15pm, it arrived.
I wish it hadn't - urgh! We ordered two pizzas - one thin crust and one standard. The thin crust was nice but the standard crust was awful, the dough tasted like it wasn't cooked properly and was very chewy.
The meat toppings were very greasy and tasted very processed and artificial. The cheese was cooked well - that is the only good point I can find to describe the food!
Perfect Pizza does have a lot of choice in the menu and do have good offers on like 'Buy one pizza, get one for £1'... although when the pizzas cost £12.49 for an 11" they had better be on offer!
I would not recommend Perfect Pizza!
The service was bad, 1 hour 15 for a pizza? and just two conflicting excuses when asked about it - no apology in sight!
A soggy uncooked pizza base and nasty, greasy toppings.
And worst of all was the price - way too expensive to be serving food like that! Pizza Hut you can understand (the food is amazing!) but Perfect Pizza has no excuse, the pizzas taste worse than most small independant takeaways - who serve pizzas for half of the price!
This chain should be called 'imperfect pizza' because this is exactly what it is. The pizza took over an hour to be delivered, by which time it was cold, and we were told by the delivery guy that he couldn't find our address...how is this our fault? We then realised half the order was missing, so when I rung to make a complaint all I got in return was a rude employee on a power trip who wouldn't even give me a refund for the food we paid for that never arrived. Avoid this pizza place at all costs! I'll be sticking to Domino's from now on.
