Pizza Express is a middle of the road restaurant serving affordable pizzas and salads mainly. I really like pizza express for what it is, an unpretentious nice place to eat. The food quality is not absolute top rank but it is more than good enough to feel you are eating something significantly better than you would normally eat.
They have a wide variety of pizzas, including a good selection of vegetarian pizzas. My favourite is pollo pancetta, which has chicken, bacon (pancetta) and lots of peppers. If you haven't been or haven't had this particular one before, definitely give it a try.
The restaurant and its waiters tend to be child friendly, they have a children's menu and serve a free drink to children called a bambicino which is just the froth from a cappuccino.
They have two types of pizza, regular has quite a thick base and though modestly sized, will fill most people up. They recently introduced the other type called a romana. This has a thin base and is very large. Personally I prefer the romana partly because I just like a bigger pizza.
If you are stuck for where to eat out and just want a safe choice choose here, you can't go wrong.
Summary: Unless you really want to branch out, stick to this tried and tested pizza parlour
