Advantages: Great food, good prices, good service

Disadvantages: Rubbish name

These days you drive though any busy town centre or high street and you'll be greeted with the familiar sight of the Pizza Express logo. The original business was founded by Peter Boizot 1965 and has expanded to over 300 restaurants in the UK. Pizza Express has been rated 7th in all time great eats as compiled by Time Out Magazine.

My Opinion:

I've visited a few branches and they do vary but generally they look attractive both in side and out and they are normally decorated in a modern contemporary style which most people find quite appealing. The food is very reasonably priced and the quality is good with a wide range of pasta dishes and pizza's to choose from which are normally under £10.00. Every thing looks fresh and is presented to you in the manner you would expect from a good restaurant. I've always found the service to be very efficient and professional with staff looking clean and presentable.

Pizza Express is one of those restaurant where you can go and have a quick lunch or dinner with friends and family or a casual date and it is cheap but won't feel or look cheap. There are so many promotions floating around that can make it worth you while to eat out. With Tesco Club Card you can normally convert your rewards to four times their value in Pizza Express vouchers or you can get buy one get on free coupons and various other offers on line. My only complaint is the name , it really doesn't fit it with the image and makes it sound like a cheap fast food joint.

Summary: Treat yourself without raiding the bank.
