“ Pizza Hut / Smaller chain of Pizza Hut Express stands „
Pizza Hut do takeaway at their express stores, these are usually built into most of their stores in the lobby before you are seated but these counters are springing up on their own premises. The are usually in town centres and their stores are very small. The waiting areas do have seats in them but they're not comfy, and a couple at my local store are actually ripped. The service is a bit hit and miss for me really, i have had to return a few things i got extra and a few things i had to go back for. The worst experience I had was when I had delivery, where i ordered chicken wings and got garlic bread. Sent that back, got something else, had to send THAT back and third time lucky i got the BBQ chicken wings. A full 45 minutes after all the other food had arrived. A complete mess up as far as i'm concerned. Most of the time I do get the right order, but around 25% of the time, I sadly don't. Note that I also got the wings for free and an apology after that mess up, so fair play to them, at least they tried to make up for it. Delivery is almost always within the time slot that I'm quoted. There was one time the delivery was late, by 10 minutes. I was assured that the food wasn't out of the store any longer, and so it would still be warm. He just left base 10 minutes late after a previous delivery (so i'm told). I haven't had a late delivery since, this was about 6 months ago. The food is of the same quality in the store but while they do maintain the fact that your food arrives hot, like it's just come out of the oven, this isn't true. Its warm, and yes it's warm enough to eat, but it does loose a significant amount of heat in transit. I'm not complaining, this does happen, but don't believe the "oven hot to your door" packaging. Overall it's an ok experience here, average nothing more. I will award 4 stars because they also do a lot of promotional offers, and when they do mess your order up they are very apologetic and even gave me some free wings because of it once, so they do treat their customers well. Hats off to good customer service, i'll award 4 stars.
pizza express, harborne. this placed used to be really good, but we have noticed recently the pizzas are mostly base and little content. Also, the waiters used to be very professional and efficient, but now we have waitresses who seem less committed. Further to this, when we had a slice of cheesecake, it was very thin and nearly £4! A rip off we felt! Deteriorated in our opinion, over the past 3 years... Also the wait was rather long before we were seated despite being able to see a number of available, ready tables. There were a couple of people before us who had to wait a considerable length of time and they also were mystified by what seemed to be nothing less than sheer protocol. Apart from this it is warm and busy and popular. It would be nice if there could be more variety though in the appetisers..I get a bit bored with sundried tomatoes or nuts.....
Pizza Hut is a restaurant that has become a family favourite around my area. The food is good (and relatively cheap for eating out) the service (in my area anyways) is almost always friendly, efficient and very, very helpful. Food: The Menu is made up of mainly Pizzas (as you may have guessed). And have a multitude of possible combinations for toppings, more than enough to satisfy even the strangest of palettes. Another bonus is that on Medium or Large Pizzas, you can split the toppings, and have two or more different ones on both sides of your pizza. Pizza is served either Italian style (thin base) or Deep Pan (thick base) depending on customer preference. Individual Pizzas feed one. Mediums Feed 2-3. And larges feed 3-4. However, I have devoured a Medium myself on several occasions. They also a variety of other dishes, including Salads and Lasagnes etc. And they are adept at dealing with eating needs (vegetarianism etc etc). Service and Ambience: The service provided is mostly quick and pleasant. As you'd expect from such a popular restaurant. The Ambience is ruined somewhat by the fact it is primarily a restaurant for families with younger kids. So you may have to deal with the odd crying baby/toddler sitting next to you...
Pizza Hut Express This type of pizza hut is quite different to the normal larger chains. Where as the normal Pizza hut is a sit down meal in a restaurant setting the pizza hut express shops are more of a fast food restaurant. This type of pizza hut is usually found at train stations, airports or shopping centres. The food they serve is a little different from the normal restaurant, they only sell one size pizza which is the same size as an individual pizza in the normal restaurant, they only sell selected variety's of pizza too such as vegetarian, meat feast, Hawaiian and plain cheese. They also sell salad bowls and some other sides such as potato wedges, chicken strips, fries and garlic bread. All of the above food is very tasty and of the same quality you would expect from pizza hut. Prices are reasonable too and for a meal deal which includes a pizza, a side and a drink you looking at about £5
Pizza Hut Express in Eldon Square isn't the best advertised of places, and I had never heard of it before even though I must have passed by it quite a few times. I only noticed it today when I was out shopping with a friend in Newcastle, and we were looking for somewhere to go for lunch after looking around New Look. Pizza Hut Express is directly opposite New Look as you come out of the top floor exit, so because we were hungry we went straight for the nearest option, it looked cheap enough so we decided we might as well. At first glance it doesn't seem like much, in truth it isn't; there are two booths, some high bench seating and a few low tables with stools. There weren't that many people there but we didn't think too much of this as it was before 12, and we didn't mind it either as it would have been hard to find a seat with the small amount available. The location is something that appeals to me, its perfect for shopping trips to town. New Look is one of my favourite shops, it's guaranteed that I'll go there every time that I'm in Newcastle so its quite convenient, and unlike some restaurants you don't need a long walk to get there as its quite central, and can get there so easily from many places. The prices are really reasonable, one of the main reasons that I came here. A pizza meal costs £4.09 (much better if you have change!) which includes a small, individual pizza of your choice with either seasoned fries or a side salad and a refillable pepsi drink. This is much cheaper than the normal pizza hut, and quite good value especially considering its a sit down place. There are 5 choices of pizza that I can remember, all were included in the meal deal and I think all of them cost £2.79 - margherita, chicken supreme, pepperoni, vegetable supreme and barbeque. These are all on a base that isn't quite deep pan, but it isn't thin either, they also have a really nice tomato sauce covered with the melted cheese. I chose chicken supreme which had pieces of chicken breast, yellow peppers, onions and mushrooms on it along with the normal cheese and tomato sauce, it was a really nice pizza which was just the right size, I only just managed to finish it all. The one thing that I remembered having stood out was how nice the crust was, as I normally just pull it off and leave it. Along with my chicken supreme, I chose the seasoned/spicy fries over the salad and the refillable Pepsi drink. The fries really stood out with the subtle spice, and they were so much nicer than the fries that you normally get in fast food places, cardboard tasting McDonalds chips these were not! Instead of filling up the drink for you, they simply gave you a cup, something which I prefer because I don't normally like ice in my drinks but they seem to always give you half drink, half ice anyway. There was a choice of pepsi, pepsi max, tango orange and 7-up, along with an ice machine so you could fill it up to as much or as little as you wanted. I did see a desserts menu, but at the time I wasn't hungry enough for a dessert, although I can remember the prices seemed reasonable and they had some nice sounding things, the "warm cookie dough," sounded particularly nice and I may have to try it another time. The other thing that I really liked about Pizza Hut Express was the 'express,' it was really fast, and if I was a quick eater then I would have been out of there in no time, as it happened me and my friend sat there for a while having a slow lunch. Overall, I would recommend this, but it seems to be aimed more towards teenagers and people in a rush because there are much nicer places you can go to in Newcastle, just they'll be a lot more expensive and take up quite a bit more time. Originally on ciao!
Pizza Hut Express is a smaller chain of Pizza Hut restaurants that can be usually be found in Shopping Centre Food Courts and places like Train Stations etc. The Pizza Hut Express we visited was in the White Rose Shopping Centre in Leeds. There was plenty of choice of where to eat, KFC, Subway, McDonalds were all available but as usual, I fancied a pizza! Mmmmm, Pizza! The Shopping Centre itself had a big seating area so the Pizza Hut Express was really just a serving counter with menus and a soft drinks machine at the end. The staff were very helpful and the menus were very simple and easy to understand for those just wanting a quick bite to eat. They have a £4.09 Meal Deal that gets you any 6" Pizza, Fries or Salad, & a medium sized soft drink. Pretty good value for money I thought. So, how was the pizza.... well, all you can get is a 6 inch pizza and there were only about 4 different toppings to choose from and 1 special. I had the Pepperoni Feast and the pizza was really good... but it was just too small! (For me anyway!) I personally think that they should be a bit bigger, or at least have a choice of sizes. 10" would be much better! Holly had a Salad with her pizza and it looked a little on the small side too. I had the Fries, with extra fries for 50p! How were the fries I hear you cry!? Gorgeous! I've never had fries from Pizza Hut before, I didn't even know Pizza Hut did Fries! They were really good. Much better than McDonalds or Burger King fries! They were kind of like Curly Fries, but straight. Very nice. For just over £4 for the Meal Deal I think I would visit Pizza Hut Express again. But not if I was really, really hungry! If you see a Pizza Hut Express, give it a try, especially for the fries! Haha C
