Advantages: Pretty cheap, good selection of food.

Disadvantages: Staff can sometimes come across as if they are only there to get money & run.

Being a franchise you are bound to find a Pizza Hut in a town near you, all styled with a similar theme make any of them look like your local. They offer both takeaway and restaurant service, although I have never had chance to have a takeaway from there - live a little too far away!

After focussing on Pizza's for many years they have recently diversified into Pasta, meaning that there is more choice for everyone. There are almost endless different pizza's available, you are able to choose everything from your toppings - for the fussy folks amongst us (I'm one!) - to the type of crust (stuffed being my favourite). There are lot's of "pre-built" options, which will often work out cheaper than creating your own, as well as this since everything is made to order you can usually request small changes to these and so long as you're nice the staff will usually do this for free! I've not yet had chance to try any of their pasta dishes, as I only ever really go there with the intent of eating pizza, unfortunately their recent "Pasta Hut" advertising campaign didn't convince me.

They also offer a vast selection of starter's, there is usually nearly a page in the menu dedicated to these meaning everyone can find something. In addition one of their current offers is a "taster platter" whereby you choose three different menu options and receive portions of each. This actually seems to work out much cheaper in many cases, as even the small "taster" portions are plenty!

And after I've covered the first two courses (albeit in the wrong order) I'll finish off with deserts (in the right order!). First & foremost ... the UNLIMITED ice cream factory, whether you're a kid or adult this has to be one of the best selling points about the place! A bargain at only a couple of quid you see children piling their dishes up so high you think they'll never manage to eat all that, then are back for more in 5 minutes, it's one of those thing's you don't seem to grow out of either (well, I don't anyway!). Ice cream aside, they also offer a nice selection of more, err, grown-up options. All quite tasty - although I'd still recommend the ice cream, plus it's cheaper!

If you look at the individual prices chances are you'll be shocked as to how expensive everything appears, but Pizza Hut always seems to have a deal on bringing the price back down to earth. These vary in price, and the amount of people who you are dining with. One of them that I find is good value is the deal for 2, you get any medium pizza & tasting platter for around £13.49, excellent value when you consider some pizza's alone are almost that much.

Customer service is something that I find varies depending on the staff who are currently working, and the "hut" you go to. There have been times when I have felt abandoned, and seemingly everybody else was getting served, but in contrast to this on most occasions the staff are pleasant & helpful, often helping you out by showing how you could save some money, and give said saved money to them as a tip instead!

Overall I'd say Pizza Hut is a good place to go if you want a cheap(ish) meal, it doesn't offer the best food on the planet, but is pretty good value for money - oh, and before I forget, free refills on soft drinks! Those unlimited offers always tend to draw people in!
