Advantages: The food usually tastes great, not too expensive, waiting times aren't long

Disadvantages: Sometimes certain desserts aren't available at that time in my local Pizza Hut

Every so often, I like to treat myself by going to Pizza Hut with family or friends, especially now that they have introduced the pasta dishes. It's good to have the option of either pizza or pasta as sometimes you only feel like one or the other. The food is usually reasonably priced, and this is even better if you can get a voucher that entitles you to eat for cheaper than you normally would. On my last visit, we had a half-price voucher that meant that the whole evening only cost around £20 and this included starters, main course and dessert, plus drinks.

***Starters***
There are quite a few starters on offer, but I usually go for the garlic bread with cheese on top. You can get the standard garlic bread (without the cheese) for a little bit less but the cheesy option is my favourite. Other starters include chicken wings. For the garlic bread, you usually get three pieces each, which I find is more than enough as it is quite filling.

***Pizza***
If I'm having pizza, I usually go for either cheese and tomato or ham and pineapple as those are the only options that I really like. If none of the options appeal, you can choose your own topping(s), which I sometimes do. A small pizza usually cuts into five or six pieces and will fill most people. For two or three people sharing a pizza, the medium option is probably the better option.

The cheesy crust pizza is absolutely delicious, but very filling so one person might struggle to get through a whole pizza on their own (even the small size one). You can get a wide range of different crusts, from the very thin through to the thick and chunky so there's bound to be something to suit everyone. If you don't like crusts on your pizza, the cheesy crust option is the best to go for as it is very soft and easy to chew.

***Pasta***
I've worked my way through a good few of the pasta dishes now and can thoroughly recommend the ham carbonara (which has a lovely creamy sauce and a generous helping of ham and bacon on top of the pasta), the salmon pasta bake (which has spinach in, so can almost count as very healthy!) and the lasagne. One word of warning though if you don't have a massive appetite - the lasagne is quite large and very filling so if you've had a reasonably filling starter beforehand, it can be a struggle to eat it all! I've found from experience that a starter probably isn't the best idea if you're going to be eating the lasagne (unless you're absolutely starving, of course!).

***Desserts***
The chocolate fudge cake is heavenly but can be a bit sickly. For a lighter dessert, ice cream might be the better option. Other dessert options include cheesecake and at seasonal times, mince pies are also on the menu.

***Drinks***
You can get unlimited drinks refills so in effect, you only pay for the first glass of soft drink. For me, one glass is usually enough unless you're eating something that is going to make you feel very thirsty.

***Cost***
Pizza Hut tends to be a good cost-effective place to eat out, even without a voucher. There are various deals that make the overall price work out cheaper. These tend to change every so often so I won't mention the current ones as they will probably be out of date soon. I usually take my parents or two of my friends and for three people it usually works out at around £10 to £15 each depending on what we each choose to have.

***Service***
At my local Pizza Hut, we tend not to go at peak times so we don't have to wait for a table in most cases. In this situation, we are allocated a table straight away and asked what drinks we want. Once we've ordered the starters (or main food if we're not having starters), it arrives around ten to fifteen minutes later depending on how busy the place is.

Summary: A not too expensive way to eat out
