Advantages: VERY VERY GOOD cheesecake and breadcoated mushrooms
Disadvantages: Generic, but the tuscani range is more authentic
Pizza Hut is a restaurant that sells Pizza and Pasta dishes as well as side dishes and desserts.
***Atmosphere***
Homely and comfortable décor, soft lighting, colours are mostly reds and creams, booth-style tables and tables and chairs for small and large groups or couples. There's usually a nice, relaxed atmosphere, no alcohol is served here so it never gets really raucous or anything.
***Menu***
*Buffet*
Firstly, there's an all you stuff down your throat buffet -haha- you can have a mixture of pasta, pizza and salads for a fixed price.
*Side dishes*
Garlic bread - tasty and filling, good as a starter
Breadcoated mushrooms- the MOST DELICIOUS thing ive ever had, I love these and would gladly eat a hundred and never mind the pizza!
*Main courses*
Choose your pizza base from the following:-
Cheesy bites
Stuffed crust
Italian
Pan
Tuscani
And then choose from a selection of toppings varying from vegetarian to meat.
There's also pasta but never having tried them myself I'll leave that for another dooyooer to tell you all about!
*Dessert*
For dessert you can have ice cream with as many toppings as you want and you pay a fixed price for that (great for kids!) or if you're Mr Greedy and want more than one helping you pay a higher fixed price and can have as many helpings as you want.
Pizza hut also do the BEST chocolate fudge cake (gooey and sticky and chocolatey!) and cheesecake (delicious, definitely one of the best and ive tried A LOT. I often go and get this as takeaway just for dessert)
***Cost***
Quite competitive compared to other places but expensive for just "good" pizza (as opposed to fantastic pizza really worth paying for!
***My opinion***
If you are a pizza or pasta connoisseur then don't bother with pizza hut! Whilst I personally think the food is great, it's not made with the best ingredients nor is there an authentic choice of pizza. Having now eaten at a lovely expensive authentic Italian pizzeria I know the difference between very flavoursome pizzas and pasta and pizza hut.
Not to say I don't like pizza hut, I do, but if you're a bit of a foodie then you'll think this is kid's food! Having said all of that, I think they're trying to be more authentic with their new range of Tuscani pizzas which feature very thin bases (like real pizza from Italy) and toppings inclusing goats cheese and caramelized onions. This new range gives pizza hut a more advanced feel and I think it will probably appeal to a bigger audience.
It's the perfect place for families or meeting friends and I don't think I'll ever get sick of it! The cheesecake, fudge cake and mushroom starter are second to none- i genuinely cant think of another restaurant that serves those three items better. Try them yourselves- you'll thank me later!
Summary: Delicious and always gonna be a family favourite
