Advantages: Nice food at reasonable prices

Disadvantages: not very healthy pizzas

Pizza hut is another one of the most famous franchised fast food outlets around. As well as pizzas a number of starters and sides are available and pasta as well as some desserts. It operates as both a restaurant and takeaway service.

There a wide range of pizzas available ranging in sizes and style. The current styles on offer include deep pan, The Italian (traditional style), cheesy bites pizza (ring of 28 individual doughy bites bursting with cheese) and stuffed crust ( ring of soft melted cheese baked into the crust.)Some of the sides include things such as chicken wings, garlic bread ,potato wedges and olives. There are also some pastas available on the menu. Some salads are also on offer as well as soft drinks , juices and alcoholic drinks. What is actually available in each individual pizza hut restauarant may actually differ as they are franchised.

The pizzas are quite tasty and there are quite a good range available for meat eaters and vegetarians which can be customised as well with various toppings. There was also a buffet which I think they still do. I haven't used it for a while but you pay a set price and you can choose food from the buffet cart which include pizza slices, pasta and salad.

I haven't visited one for a while but went into one the other week during the day and saw the happy offer advertised . This is apparently from 3-6pm weekdays- you can get Pizza or Pasta, with Garlic Bread or salad, and a drink for only £4. That is not bad at all! It was actually quite filling and if I hadn't got another side would have been very cheap indeed.

One bad thing about pizza hut is the pizza's have quite a high calorie and fat intake which makes them quite unhealthy.

The takeaway service I think is quite expensive compared to some more local takeaway pizza parlours but some of the offers may help to reduce the price of takeaway but I haven't had one from them for a while.

Overall Pizza Hut is ideal for a family meal out or for something quite quick and hassle free to eat. If you want authentic Italian food though it may not be the most ideal place but the prices are currently quite good and the food is pretty tasty.

Summary: cheap and reasonably tasty pizza
