Went to Pizza Hut last night for dinner and was most impressed. Two dinners - details of receipt follow.

I will mention the reason for the transaction times momentarily.

This is my first visit to Pizza Hut if 5 years. I swore off it after a terrible experience in the Martineau Place branch, Birmingham. On that occasion EVERYTHING went wrong and after waiting 15minutes to see a manager I handed the waitress £1.70 for the J2O I had consumed and walked out.

This review is a positive one and a credit to the chain. My partner likes this chain so I agreed we would go in. I was very dubious and so if I'm honest I was waiting for it to go wrong.

We got seated promptly and called on a waiter almost immediately. We told him we were to see a film and need to leave by 2105. He was very honest and took into account our eating time. We agreed the food preparation time would be acceptable and he waited and took our order there and then.

We had a bottomless Pepsi, no ice(£1.99) - received as requested, a Corona (£3.29) - automaticly presented with a lime wedge, a small pan Meat Feast (£5.99), a Carbonara Tagliatelle (£6.49) and some Chicken strips with BBQ sauce (£3.99). As arranged the food came out Pasta and Pizza together and Chicken Strips when they were ready.

The food arrived promptly and pepper and parmesan were offered. By the time we started eating I had reformed my opinion on Pizza Hut.The food was very acceptable - when it arrived it didn't look like a lot, but we both left food on our plates and were very satisfied... didn't even buy popcorn at the cinema!

I commented to my partner about the good service and he agreed. We requested the bill before we had finished eating and James was happy to oblige. He didn't clear the plates first and I felt this was appropriate to our individual needs. The bill took a little while, but we paid and left at 2105 on the dot, and made it in time for our movie. Unfortunately, I cannot rave about the movie quite so much!

Summary: What an improvement!
