Disadvantages: Toilets & Messy floor
I don't eat out that often but my husbands family are huge fans for gatherings on peoples birthday's. Normally at pubs or other eatng places.
It was my nephew's 12th Birthday today and the venue of choice was Pizza Hut.
Being a little but of a bargin/voucher hunter as soon as I found out Pizza hut was the plan I looked for the offers. On the Pizza Hut website there was a voucher for £5.00 - Regular pizza and unlimited salad (great I was sorted or so I thought!!)
Pizza Hut, Kidderminster (Weavers Wharf) 3pm
Pizza hut don't have there own parking facilites here but it is adjacent to a huge car park where you pay for parking (1 hour 80p, 2 hours £1.10)
We were the first 2 to arrive out of our party of 19. The Manager greeted us warmly and showed us to our table and said our allocated waitress would be over shortly. 26 minuets later she arrived to ask us what drinks we wanted. I felt 26 mins a little long to be waiting to be asked this. But she was very nice and seemed happy.
I thought we were set on having our offer but once we looked at the menu we realised all main meals now come with unlimited salad so we didn't use our voucher.
Me and my husband ordered -
2 x Unlimited Orange Tango's
1 x Large Chicken Supreme Pizza with Cheese Bites
2 x FREE UMLIMITED SALADS
Our first choice meals were avalible so no hassle on that front
Our salad bowls were brought out prior to the Pizza, which suited us as we had the salad as a starter.
The salad bar was full and all appeared to be fresh there was a choice of - Cherry Toms, Red onion, Rocket Salad, Beetroot, Croutons, Sweetcorn, Apples, Grapes, Pineapple, Peppers, Coleslaws, Potatoe Salad, Onion bits and an array of dressings. I don't think I've missed anything.
Just as we's finished out salads our pizza came out and as daft as it sounds I was surprised at how large a large pizza was. But it was between the 2 of us and thought we would do it justice (how wrong was I) The pizza looked good, tasted good and was hot.
4 slices of Pizza were left once we had finished (think we filled up on salad...whoops)
Once the waitress noticed we were close to the end of finishing our drinks she was there offering top ups, which I was very impressed with we didn't even have to ask.
**Clearing of Table
They were prompt to clear the table at the end of our meal after ensuring everyone had finished. She returned with pizza boxes for people to take home there left overs (again a service which we didn't have to prompt her for)
This is where I was slightly dissappointed. The sink area was clean and tidy enough but there were 3 toilet cubicles. 1st - Out of order, 2nd - No Toilet Roll & 3rd Sanitary Bin Full!!!
I quickly did the necessary and left there pretty sharpish.
The table itself was clean and cutlery clean but the floor was in need of a good hoover/sweep. This may of been down to the time our party were booked for (3pm) so possibly after the lunch time rush. But all the same a little letdown.
Well £21.00 for a meal for 2...Not bad even without using a voucher.
We were happy to leave a tip for the service. The staff get 100% of there tips :0)
On the bottom of our recepit there is a survey invitation...which I happily have completed. For completing the survey you get a 2 for 1 voucher on your next visit and a chance to win and ipod (I didn't win!!)
**Would I recommend?
Definatley as the service, food and price were great shame about the tidiness.
Summary: Great food and service...But tidy up!!!
