You're bound to spot a Pizza Hut in every major town and city in England. For just a few pounds more than you'd pay for a fast food restaurant, you get table service and a decent range of food to choose from. A typical meal for two with drinks and dessert can cost around £15.

Several pizza bases, toppings, pastas, starters, deserts AND a salad bar, it's a good incentive to keep coming back for more and the portions are substancial. I've been to several pizza huts around the country and (touch wood) I've always found the staff to be welcoming and the service is quick. This is no high class establishment, but it's great value for money. Children are welcome too and there are meals and deserts catering especially for them. As a vegetarian I do find there is restricted choice for a vegetarian diet.

Prepare to wait when visiting on weekends as this place tends to get packed which can make you feel a little rushed when eating your meal, next to a queue of people. If you go during the week, they often have lunchtime buffets for a set price (around £6) where you can top your plate up at the salad bar as many times as you want. This is great value and it's less likely to be busy. Perfect for a casual meal out with friends, Pizza Hut is a reliable place to choose.
