We strive to eat healthy and be healthy in our household, however we deserve a treat now and then. We decided to visit our local pizza hut, the fact we had won a free 10.00 money off voucher didnt sway us at all...much!! Anyways we decided it would be a healthy option because,

We need every day:
Bread, cereals & potatoes
Fruit & Vegetables (5 portions a day)
Milk & Dairy foods
Meat, fish and protein alternatives

and funnily enough a pizza can provide all the above food factors!!!

Fruit & vegetable : A few choices here, either lots on pizza and/or a salad bowl, and a glass of orange juice will also count towards your 5 fruit & veg portions

Beware of hidden fats in salad dressings, choose honey & mustard rather than the creamy dressings

Bread is the pizza dough, and even dough balls as starters if having pasta.

Meat, fish and protein, well you can have these as options on your pizza and also a pasta starter or pasta main course.

Milk and dairy, either within the cheese base on the pizza or the scrummy icecream at the end mmmmmmm.


Now the icecream section is a hit with my family as its Mr softy and you can go back as many times as you can, and have choices of sauces and sweets to go with it,all for 1.50 for children 1.99 for adults.

The pizza and pasta come in various guises and prices, I have copied a menu but these change periodically, the price and the menu, look out for special offers. For 17.49 you can buy a medium pizza, garlic bread, and 2 cokes and also recieve 2 free cinema tickets, last month it was bowling for 14.49. Each restaurant offers different deals , keep a look out for them.

We also have lunch time specials where you can eat as much pasta, salad and pizza for 4.99. These are not available at weekends or bank holidays.

The soft drinks are a little p
ricey BUT are refillable as many times as you can drink the pop, so works out cheaper than most places.

The kids menu is basic and offers a free toy but we find them to be a waste so we let the guys eat ice cream with us and have some of our pizza or pasta, and they seem to enjoy this more and works out cheaper for us.

The alcohol is steep 2.35 for a little bottle of stella so we tend to stick to soft drinks as a rule.

I hope I have enticed you into trying a pizza for a treat, we throughly enjoyed it but boy I wished I hadnt eaten all that ice cream!!
