Pizzaland used to be one of the leaders in its field in the late '80s and could always be counted on for quality and service, so what went wrong?
My guess is that when they started closing restaurants in 1990 people became extremely dissatisfied with the way they treated everyone. Instead of concentrating on customer service and quality they decided to go for profit.
I actually worked in a Pizzaland for 5 years before being made redundant when it closed. They shut my shop down (I was the manager) because we weren't making the profit margin they required although we were the most popular place to eat in town!
There's no real point in listing menus and prices because they're so outdated now but it still seems relevant that people always came back for more and told us that it was good value for money!
Somehow it seems sad to think that the things we had drummed into back then don't matter squat now and, to be totally honest, I was really surprised to discover that they were still trading in some areas because all the ones where I used to live have gone and that's about 10.
