Pret a MangerNewest Review: ... into a coffee shop where EVERYONE has been as genuinely lovely (or certainly that's how it seems) as those in prêt. In my local (there are 2 nearby, one is closer) there are some really nice, friendly, helpful charming employees. They take time to learn your drink (weak skinny latte) and recognise if your in the mood for a bit of banter! It can be a bit pricey, so prêt isn't an every day occurrence, and I rarely buy food in there, although have a bit of a soft spot for their granola, but at 1.80 it's a little bit expensive for breakfast. If I'm having lunch there I tend to go for the warm wrap, its delicious, and different. I get rea... more |

I am rather spoilt for choice when it comes to coffee on my way into work. I go past BHS, starbucks, a café called rhubarb and also pret. That's just in one direction, and all within the space of about 5 minutes. The closest one to my office is prêt, and it is a lovely place to stop, get my morning cuppa and a smile from the gang behind the till. I've always been under the impression you need to take out a mortgage to get lunch from Prêt but today I thought id take the plunge and give me a whirl! When I walked in the store, I found a buzzing friendly atmosphere, people chatting amongst themselves, friendly faced staff and stacks of tempting sandwiches! Not only do they do normal sandwiches, the do baguettes, cold wraps, hot wraps, sushi, salads, single sandwiches, pastries and desserts, drinks and hot drinks! Spoilt for choice I took my time browsing. One member of staff was busy at work making the shelves look presentable. I settled on the limited edition Christmas meal sandwich. Let me ... I am the kind of person who would prefer to have their sandwich made up in front of them in an old fashioned sandwich bar - however, for pret a manger, i am willing to make an exception as I find their produce really nice. The one thing that pret prides itself on is freshness, it is very keen to make the customer aware that its sandwiches etc are made fresh on the premises each day and not on a production line in a factory 50 miles away. So, for this reason, I dont mind shopping there. They have a great range of snacks to eat, and it is particularly good for lunch time - despite the amazing range of cut sarnies with meat, fish and vegetarian ... Read the complete review

Pret A Manger is a retailer of sandwiches, baguettes & hot and cold drinks. However this statement probably doesn't do it justice fully as it's products are quite fancy of a high standard. They are found largely in the South East of England but are gradually increasing in number across the rest of the country. There is a large varieties of cold sandwiches & baguettes available as well as a number of hot paninies. They have a selection of regular varieties as well as daily specials. My favourite has to be their salmon & cream cheese baguette, but I also enjoy their ploughmans sandwich. Although their products are of great quality, this does come at ... Read the complete review

Pret a Manger has been my staple food source for about 2 years now for lunch Monday to Friday. I use it mostly for sandwiches and coffee which I will focus on. The Cappucino's and Latte's now cost £1.95 (previously £1.85), they come in one standard size which is about the same size as a small one from Starbucks or Costa Coffee or a medium size Coffee Republic. As such this represents slightly better value than Costa or Starbucks and on a par with Coffee Republic (though Coffee Republic has a constant buy 9 get 10th free offer). The Coffee itself is very nice and is one of the only branded coffees that uses organic milk. However, despite the organic ... Read the complete review
