Advantages: friendly staff, quick service, delicious food!
Disadvantages: little pricey but you pay for the quality
I've always been under the impression you need to take out a mortgage to get lunch from Prêt but today I thought id take the plunge and give me a whirl!
When I walked in the store, I found a buzzing friendly atmosphere, people chatting amongst themselves, friendly faced staff and stacks of tempting sandwiches! Not only do they do normal sandwiches, the do baguettes, cold wraps, hot wraps, sushi, salads, single sandwiches, pastries and desserts, drinks and hot drinks!
Spoilt for choice I took my time browsing. One member of staff was busy at work making the shelves look presentable. I settled on the limited edition Christmas meal sandwich. Let me tell you, this sandwich is AMAZING! It has turkey, stuffing, lettuce, mayo and cranberry sauce on wholemeal bread! Yum yum! All Pret's food are freshly made on a daily basis so your paying for the quality. my sandwich set me back £3.25 which to me is on the steep side but it was a delicious lunch! Great for a little treat on payday or something!
With that, I walked to the tills to be served expecting a queue. To my surprise I was served immediately but a friendly faced staff member. I also ordered a latte coffee which was prepared in less than 1 min 30 seconds (how about that for speed!)
He kindly offered to put my coffee into the paper bag so I didn't spill it, along with my sandwich and a couple of napkins. I paid and was given my change and he told me to have a nice day.
I left the shop very content and happy. I will be sure to have a nice day just because he told me to in such a friendly polite manner which in my opinion you don't see often enough now!
Summary: Great for a little treat every once in a while!
