Pret a manger is my daily haunt on the way to work, and I have to say that it makes every day that little bit better. For a start, unlike in other sandwich shops, Pret staff are very nice and helpful. I find it particularly useful that if they've run out of a particular sandwich they're happy to make one up for you on the spot. ...

It's only lately that I've been able to enjoy the experience of Pret having heard about it for a few years I had formed the opinion that it was a little fancy but wholesome, good food in tasty combinations that balanced between the original and inventive. Well...my last trip to Pret (it's far too expensive to be considered a daily ...

Pret a Manger are, despite their French name, a British company offering take away food from 6-7 in the morning towards the end of the working day. According to locations, Pret a Manger shops tend to open between 6 and 7 am, and shut down between 6 and 8 pm at the latest. They offer sandwiches, bagels, sandwiches, fruits, juices, ...

At the minute when I have had free time or in general when I'm off and have free time, I like to meet friends in a coffee shop or cafe, sort of like how they did in Friends. The whole coffee shop era is upon us and even when it is lunch time I will go to one for my sandwich, or snack and a drink, there are many competitors out there. At the minute ...

What a great way of life we have in UK! A sandwich at your desk, and this is what they call lunch! Surely not what I was used to when I was working in Spain! But anyway. This is life. If it needs to be a sandwich, then let it be a good one! They do not come cheap and may be I should prepare my own in the morning, but I am ...

Pret a Manger have been a success story on the high street in recent years and now most high streets will have one as well as shopping centres and airports. They specialise in making fresh sandwiches and these are made in the store that day for sale, they are not made to order but are pre-packed. You select the sandwich you want from ...

In recent years the Pret chain has become more and more popular resulting in an expansion of new restaurants. In some busy London streets one will literally find 5 Pret restaurants within a 300m radius. Initially Pret seemed to offer some value, the possibility of a freshly made sandwich at a reasonable price. However, while some of ...

I worked at Pret for a year as a team member when I first came to the UK to study and can honestly say that there wasn't a single bad thing about the job or the food. The food is genuinely fresh, staff are friendly and happy to be there (smart clean uniform free each day), no humiliating tasks. I go 3/4 times pw and would work there again tomorrow.

I had never been into a Pret before yesterday, and I can honestly say that it was the best sandwich I've ever had. Forget what most sandwich chains do - charge super high prices for a low quality sandwich, but Pret doesn't do that! Now, before I start my main review, I must just say that it's a real shame that there isn't a ...

Pret A Manger is a sandwich chain with a difference. They have over 100 shops in the UK (mostly concentrated in London)and some in Hong Kong and New York. Aswell as having a bright and funky store design the products they sell are outstanding (more on this later). I visited a shop in the heart of the city of London. On entering the shop I ...

Pret has 2 very good things which differentiate it from other sandwich chains (in London anyhow). It really has excellent service. I go there around 7 times per week, and they are truly professional when it comes to service. The staff look happy and seem to enjoy working there. They also don't seem to have been taught to adopt a fake ...

I worked here once and still think these sandwhiches are without doubt the *best* you can buy - Advantages: fresh ingredients, very generous filling, great staff - Disadvantages: part-owned by McDonalds, endless jazz muzak

I've never been much of a sliced bread sandwich fan. Why eat sliced bread when you can have it in a wrap, a ciabatta, a focaccia, a pita...well, you get the idea. And as for putting mayonnaise on your sandwich- don't be so daft. It's a disgusting greasy spread that belongs nowhere near a nice sarnie. It was not until ...

On days when I fancy a tasty, freshly made and reasonably healthy lunch, maybe I’ve overdone it with the Mcdonalds and going down the pub AGAIN seems like a bad idea, I head over to Pret-a-Manger. Pret sandwiches, in my opinion, are the best you can buy in the high street. There are probably lots of independent sandwich shops that ...

Pret a Manger (which I think means "ready to eat") sells sandwiches, sushi, baguettes, coffee, desserts, and drinks. Pret only use fresh ingredients and make all of the sandwiches on-site so they taste really fresh too. The sandwiches look small in the box, but when you open the box they double in size. They have a huge range of ...

Even though the food is a little more expensive than elsewhere, the quality and the ethics of the sh - Advantages: the tastiest sarnies around, fresh, preservative free and conservation friendly, unsold food is distributed to the needy - Disadvantages: not as easy to find in the city, slightly more expensive (but think of the good you are doing by eating there)

There are so many cafes now across the country, especially in London, it can be difficult to distinguish between them. However, you notice one thing when you walk into a 'Pret', the prices. Unlike Starbucks, perhaps their biggest rival, bagettes, drinks, salads etc. are actually affordable. However, it doesn't stop there, ...

I love Pret - I love the way they're constantly trying to improve and experiment with their food, I love the way they give away unsold sandwiches at the end of the day, I love the clean feel of the cafes, I love the low-fat mayo. In a sad way, I;m also grateful for their discreet omission of the nutrional info on the side of the sarnies - ...

As there is a Pret a Manger conveniently placed on my walk to work, I make a pit stop there most mornings to get my essential caffeine fix. Pret is mainly based in London, I have never seen another branch anywhere else and so it generally caters for City workers. I have always found their shops to be airy, clean and well run. The staff ...

I came across my first Prêt when I started working in London. In fact I think they are largely a London phenomenon though I saw one in Birmingham 2 years ago and there must be others in the big cities. Well what makes them so special ? I would say that Prêt are to sandwich making what Bodyshop are to the cosmetic industry. Prêt use only ...
