Advantages: Great service and delicious food
Disadvantages: None so far
I went to Prezzo yesterday with a buy one get one free on main course voucher that i found on money saving expert. As always i had an enjoyable experience.
Prezzo Chelmsford is set off the beaten track next to Locy Fyne and located right on the river. The outside area is lovely in summer and inside the place is always very clean and sparkling - especially the floor which appears to be polished regularly so watch out that you don't slip!
I have always been able to get a table here as the restaurant is quite large and even at busy times they fit you in and the service is always quick and efficient.
Yesterday i went with three others and we decided to share some bread as a starter. We opted for the pizza bread which we added cheese to and then the garlic bread with caramelised balsamic onions. Both were delicious.
They have a good wine list and we decided to shar a bottle of pinot grigio blush which was tasty. I also had a freshly squeezed orange juice but it's best to ask for no ice as the glasses are pretty small and you basically get a glass full of ice if you do have it!
For a main i had a carne piccante calzone which was delicious but i couldn't manage it all! My friends also has calzones and one had a lasagne which was really tasty apparently.
For dessert i had a sticky toffee pudding and cream which was delicious and then we had a Baileys to finish.
Feeling very full we asked for the bill and for the four of us having starters, main, desserts, two bottles of wine, two beers, two orange juices and two Baileys the whole bill worked out £20 each which covered the tip. As i said we did have a voucher but even without it it would have been fantastic value.
I always enjoy any visit to Prezzo an haven't got a complaint to make at all.
Summary: Good quality Italian restaurants
