A mixed bag (Prezzo (in general))

Advantages: Not badly priced, a nice atmosphere

Disadvantages: Grumpy waitress

I went to the Prezzo in Salisbury for the first time recently.

Upon arrival our menu's were delivered and we were left to decide what we were going to order. A waitress finally came over to take our drinks order after about 25 minutes and the drinks then took about 15 minutes to come. By this time, we were all practically on the verge of dehydration!

I ordered the Pollo Siciliana which is chargrilled butterflied chicken breast, prosciutto ham and plum tomato slices and i had fries with mine. Although i really enjoyed my main course, the fries were cold and I had to ask for them to be re-heated. The waitress did huff quite a lot at this and made me feel awful for "making a fuss".

We did all enjoy the ambiance of Prezzo, it's a very nice cozy restauarant. The candles on each table gave the room a soft welcoming glow and there was a nice "buzz" in the room with everyone obviously having a good time.

I had ice cream for dessert and to my horror and my friends great amusement, I ended up with ice cream tipped into my lap by a very apologetic waiter! I was given my dessert for free however and all was forgiven.

I think that Prezzo is a reasonably priced chain with nice food and atmosphere. i think that Salisbury branch was a mixed bag waitress/waiter wise but then I suppose everyone has their off days!

All in all, not a bad night out, although I certainly wouldnt class it as memorable food or service.
